so call it 17, would he sign for that?

in the new CBA the signing bonus is now capped at 60% – Signing bonuses will be capped at 60 percent of the full player’s salary
so a little advantage the Leafs had they are looking at as a problem…naturally

NHL agent Allan Walsh says he projects the salary cap to be around $120M for 2027-2028.

That’s an increase of about $25M on the current cap ($95.5M).

If true, getting players locked in to long-term contracts (6+ years) now will give teams a major advantage.
