Participantlolz
waits for UG to have his negative spin
senstrolltwo
Participantnot bad, not bad
Jays need a closerLouis Varland: 16 IP, 26 Ks, 0.56 ERA, 4 saves
Mason Miller: 15.1 IP, 29 Ks, 1.17 ERA, 10 savesof course he wont end with a sub 1.00 era, and he will blow saves, everyone does.
now the Bats..you are up…do stuff

ParticipantHe’s supposed to say he will evaluate everybody at every position and then fire Rielly and Berube into the Sun the next day.
Chayka can’t be taken seriously if one second he is identifying clear and obvious problems with the defense and then the next second endorsing the two biggest sources of failure of the defense.
thats cool. but I dont want the Leafs GM making quick reactionary moves. Id also prefer he keep his real intentions quiet. showing your hand doesnt help.
you cleary take a lot a face value and like to react (over react), which is your brand. But most of whats said doesnt matter, I dont care. its the actions not the media snippets

ParticipantLeafs once again hoping for luck with a dumb ping pong ball and 40% odds

Participantcomments about Berube and Rielly a few hours after they are introduced is not something I give a shit about, what else is he supposed to say at this point.
Nobody is going to toss the coach and longest serving player directly under the bus 5 mins after a press conf.anyway, it was mostly Pelley who made that awkward and uncomfortable. Chayka speaks well and did say a lot of the right things after. but none of it matters if they made bad moves.
its great he recognizes there is a problem with the leafs D and moving the puck up ice. thats a problem, but also the coach/system/style does not fit or work with this team. they got dummied all season, I hope thats addressed.senstrolltwo
ParticipantPress conference done, and …whatever
Pelley comes off as clueless and I think you could sell him magic beans very easily.things could works out of not be a total shit show, but imo they didnt put themselves in the best position to succeed.
also..Steve Simmons questions lol..right for the jugular

ParticipantHiring someone to help with the GM search and coming up with Chayka is pretty lame. how in-depth was the search?
It just makes no sense, Sundin who has zero experience and a GM who hasnt done anything in 5 years.Dubas didnt get the ultimate results, but the teams were good at least. every move makes me miss a very meh, slightly above average GM Dubas

Participantput me down for extremely skeptical of this new management team. Chayka might be a much more active (and fun) GM than Tre as he tended to make lots of moves, but with very mixed results.
a bunch of moves that are not a win for the leafs could set the team back another 10 years ..

ParticipantIt’s too early to write off the Jays but Bo is now the worst player of all time.
Imagine caring about Rogers spending too much money?
of course you go to the dumbest of extremes. A normal person would acknowledge hes been terrible and so far an awful bet at 42mil.
I dont care about how much rogers spends, never said anything about that. I care about getting value for the money they Jays spend.
but again you are not able to have a normal discussion you are the king of strawman arguments so you can keep the rage engaged. you love itsenstrolltwo
ParticipantMets absolutely suck and Bo would still be 3rd on the Jays in hits and 4th in RBI. He would probably have even better numbers in the Jays line-up. Was retarded to let him go regardless of price. A couple of injuries and the Jays couldn’t hit anymore. Having as many quality hitters as possible is how you build a World Series WINNER. You enjoy watching Toronto teams build LOSERS.
42 million for Bo for 73 ops+ so far, of course is being defended by you.
Imagine how much more winning the Jays would have with that.4th in rbi lol. Can you imagine????

ParticipantWhat a dud of a game for the Jays on Ernie Jersey day.
I miss Kirk and Barger and Springer…and now Lukes who was heating up
can we get a fullish healthy team soon plssenstrolltwo
Participantmove your feet a few inches and that may help. Baseball is weird like that
One interesting thing about Kazuma Okamoto, who’s been hitting the ball a lot better over the last week … last weekend in Arizona, he moved six inches further back in the box, where he’s remained since.

ParticipantJays making adjustments, its paying off. Need to string wins together.
Cease today and Yesavage Tues.Go Jays!

ParticipantChayka? thats a big Meh for me. his track record is pretty pedestrian. He did take big swings, but very mixed results.
Latest from Friedman: John Chayka and Scott White are the finalists for a “head of hockey operations” role with the Leafs

Participantall the hockeybuzz leafs blogs are partially or completely written by AI. there is a site called quillbot where you can paste text or images to see if they are AI-generated or altered. the leafs blogs posted recently are AI. the blogger is using the AI to do the research work (on gm candidates for example) and then putting it together in a blog. if I want to read what some AI wrote, I’d just ask the AI myself and skip the lazy-writer middleman. i mean seriously, a hockey blog is a thousand words, give or take. for all we know “jay on the leafs” is just eklund using AI and a spellchecker.
so uggie told me to come here and here i am. is this where everyone from hockeybuzz is now?
i just went back to buzz and looked at the new leafs blog. it’s all human written. dude made a liar out of me. we’ll see how long he can go without resorting to it again.
is this site always this damn slow? it takes forever for pages to change or comments to load.
this is where its mainly just UG posting his manifesto and daily complaints about everything and the occasional other poster chimes in
and yes, site is crap..slow, feels like it was built in html in 2003.
