The struggle to have posts go through continues. A real pain in the ass lol

Anyways enough bs & onto hockey. Constantly see & read if the Canucks should add more UFA’s for pump & dump. Imo NO. It’s a rebuild & a logjam on F’s. Develop the kids & prospects on the Canucks & in Abby don’t waste time & money blocking them. This is a rebuild with no shortcuts & no expectations. Keeping open roles for the PK for new blood & competition for all positions is the way to go. Priority is MM’s system letting mistakes slide while the team defines their new identity. Allow playing through mistakes & let players develop without feeling TOI is cut due to imperfection. It isn’t the time to judge it is time to let the process to begin. The journey will be painful but to be expected so let it unfold & the players learn.

    Preach!

He has been less than impressive so far but keep at it. He has a hell of a shot and when he figures it out

I think he’ll be an Oiler then.

Just imagine having two of that type of player. I think Canucks give up too early on a lot of young first round picks. Horvat Podz Lekker. I have always been a Podz fan and I think he will just keep getting better and better. I see him becoming a Nichuskin 2.0 when all is said and done

Lekkerimäki is close to entering Olli Juolevi territory. He needs a breakout season.

Seeing the bigger picture, I hope they play the shit out of him and he finds tremendous success, which would make other teams very interested in acquiring him, possibly giving up a first round pick and no salary retention, a guy can dream. 🙂

His history would suggest otherwise. Do you think he will fit in with this team? That’s the big question, they want to establish a good culture here. Hopefully you’re right and they miraculously manage to move him off the team. He’s in a good spot to float the rest of his deal out here like Loui Eriksson did regretfully.

Read online yesterday they’ve (management) tried to overturn the roster much more than they already have but they haven’t had a lot of success/takers thus far. More to come…

You’d think they would. Debrusk 100%, Boeser probably in there, DOC, and of course the flake.

Let’s get rid of everyone with NMC’s automagically. After all a snap of the fingers & voila it’s done. Easy peasy.

Takes more than a rumour from a guy in a golf tourney freely talking out. That’s how toxic starts & not in the room.

Are you saying there haven’t been issues in the room for the last 10+ years? Looking forward to the spin on that!

Not sure if anyone has been watching HBO’s Hard Knocks on the Seahawks training camp. The extensive evaluation they do on players personalities is amazing. They have to feel comfortable any player they draft/sign will fit into the culture of the team, if you don’t you get squeezed out.

I don’t think the Canucks put enough work into character evaluations in the past, they just looked at the stats. That’s how you end up with flakes like Jake Virtanen, Olli Juolevi, EP40 and others.

I was very surprised not to see the Canucks at the top of the list. I think Canucks could be a very tough team, no longer fun to play against team with some of the size and grit they brought in.

The good thing about the state of this team in there will be little to no pressure to win, just play the right way. This should make EP40 happy, he can go out and block shots and get his 50-60 points. All good.
