WHIPPER
ParticipantAA joked that he was going to write a blog. I jokingly said that he would title it Mitch Marner, a love story.
Three month ban for that, out until August 28. lol
~Shack2.0Worth it.
WHIPPER
ParticipantJust looked you up Whipper, your ban ended at the beginning of this month. Once you figure out how to get logged in you’ll be good to go.
~DozzerWell, apparently I can’t post until I verify my account with my cell number, so I guess my time on HB has officially come to and end.
WHIPPER
Participantwhen you try to post it tells you.
~senstrolltwoThat’s the weird thing about mine then. It never says I’m banned, it just asks me to verify my HB account with my cell number. And, according to Dozzer’s inside information, my ban should have been over by now.
WHIPPER
ParticipantHow do you guys actually know you’re banned? I keep getting asked to verify my HB account, but there is no mention of a ban. I would think it was just a website glitch, but Dozzer did mention I had received a 30 day ban. That should have been over three weeks ago, though…

ParticipantThe core 4 all lack that killer instinct that players like McDavid, Drai, Marchand, and Reinhart all have. Those guys passionately hate to lose, our guys just kinda like to win maybe if it works out. Mitch is gone, that much is known. Now where do we go from here.
I still believe in what is left of the core. This upcoming season is going to be a step back, there is almost no way to avoid that. But Tre has to find a way to bring in a difference maker in the next two years. Obviously, the #1 option is McDavid. I was certain he’d re-sign once Drai did, but after the way things went last night, he may finally realize that Edmonton is capped out, have HUGE holes to fill, and people just generally don’t want to play there. The Leafs are closer to a cup than just about any team out there, and he probably knows he’s got what it would take to put this team over the top. It’s a long shot, but not outside the realm of possibility.
Since option #1 is a long shot, now Tre has to earn his money. This years UFA class is thin, but in a year there are some heavy hitters. Very curious to see how things shake out.

ParticipantFlorida going back to back was inevitable, I’ve been saying it since well before the playoffs started.
Oilers made history, though. They had the most time trailing games in finals history. Both the games they won were in OT, and one was after being gifted a PP for a puck over the glass. This series wasn’t as close as it looked, an absolute blowout.
The Leafs got lucky. They jumped on Florida early and caught them unprepared. But Florida just grinds teams down, and would have beaten any team in a 7 game series. Is there a team in the past decade (or two) that could beat this Florida team?

ParticipantWhat are the chances you can reverse some of the bans at the “other” site?
~CCOr at least find out why my 30 day ban in running on almost 50, LMFAO.
WHIPPER
ParticipantThe logout glitches are weird. On my phone using Brave, I just refresh the page and it usually logs me back in.
WHIPPER
Participanthe’ll respond in short time.
~dmntedHe’s probably already typing, the post will be finished in about a half hour.
WHIPPER
ParticipantMeh, Bennett was never coming to Toronto anyways, so that makes no difference. Marner walking give us a fuck ton cap space for the first time in forever. Get Knies locked up, negotiate something fair on JT, and then let Tre cook up the rest.
WHIPPER
Participanthow high can he go, I think Mitch might get one bajillion dollars
~senstrolltwoHe’s exactly the type of player Carolina needs, undersized and as soft as downy fabric softener. Brilliant move, Canes.
WHIPPER
ParticipantPer Andy Strickland, Marner is officially out. Let the healing begin.
WHIPPER
ParticipantIt’s unofficially official boys, Marner is taking his purse and leaving town.
WHIPPER
ParticipantMr. Sir, that second line is terrifyingly bad defensively.
WHIPPER
ParticipantExcept that the Oilers didn’t lie down and roll over in the game they lost 6-1 the way the Leafs did. Twice. The Oilers actually showed some pride.
~fiftyA lot of good that did them. So, the Oilers are leading the series in moral victories?!?
