    – Flyers want to see from Jack Nesbitt in his first pro camp? Not look overwhelmed would be my main one.

    – Will Philly experiment with Oliver Bonk as the power play bumper guy in camp? being they are not a forward-thinking organization I doubt it. Tocchet likely has no idea he did that in juniors.

    – What is Denver Barkey’s probable — and best-case — ceiling as a pro? No idea. too early to say IMO.

    – What’s the latest on Aleksei Kolosov? Loan him out to Russia. If you have him, Ivan, and Carson at LHV that will be a mess. Will have unhappy capers.

    – What should Flyers’ fans make of Dale Weise’s recent comments about his time in Philly? Is he really off base with what he said? Don’t look at who said but what was said. Jake is a loser and played on nothing but losing teams. No cup contedning teams ever wanted his services. Wonder why? Great talent though.

-In a rebuild, what are the key responsibilities of veterans who remain with the team? Play well for your next contract or to get traded!!!

Hopefully he tries some new things, well, at least new to this current roster. The PP as I saw it was a static, almost movement free mishmash of safe passes and zero creativity. Using Michkov (in my opinion) on the wrong side of the ice, passing up quick shots allowing the defense to get back in position to block, players without the puck standing still, it was painful to watch on a nightly basis.

to be as bad as they were for that long is inexcusable. had torts not quit rocky would have been back. let that sink in.

what D will QB the PP? York or JD? They seem to have taken the offense out of Yorks game. better hope he can find it.

you forgot to add nesbitt and all the other big mean nasty players the flyers drafted in 2025.

can wait to them package that depth for that elite player.

nothng to complain about the forwards. love it. keep the faith. go flyers

Nesbitt will be a regular NHL player. Say what you want about the Flyers drafting but they aren’t the Rangers.

A guy they drafted 12th overall is going to be an nhl regular, wow that is a hot take if I ever saw one.

they finished bottom 10. that is not ok. just because you dont see a problem doesn’t mean it is good enough to get it done. they are not deep. they are nothing but average at best

“But like I said, when you’re not spending $12 million on a player, or even two like Edmonton does… Colorado has three or four high-end guys. We’re not going to be built that way. So depth will be important to us.”

love that quote by the gm.

Average age of what I see as their Top 9 is 25 and change with Martone and Luchanko on the way. Depth also gives them some pieces to put a package together for one of the elite needle-moving, difference-making forwards you think they MUST have to “get it done,” whatever “it” is. There’s literally nothing to complain about in the way the forwards are shaping up. Briere is right . . . as always!

Ok compared to what? Ok isn’t going to be good enough. Now or in the future.

They were in the bottom 10 in goals scored last year. How much improvement do you really think they will make on that as a team?

If ex selke “paces” for 60 points the flyers should look to move him asap. Can help a team win as you say. Will they? Hell no.

OK compared to the majority of the league. They aren’t stacked with elite players but they are deep in good NHL forwards with upside. That’s what the Flyers need to become: A good team better than the sum of its’ parts and they’re forward parts are pretty deep and pretty good. I don’t see a problem here. Defense and goal are the major concerns.

None good. Coots is probably a good 3C who can play up and down the lineup at this point in his career on a contender and he may still be the best the Flyers have. He did have a bit of a revival last year as the team fell apart around him but I doubt at age 33 with his injury history that if they lean on him to hard that he’ll produce and more importantly, stay healthy.

I think Couturier is better than you do at this stage. I don’t expect him to be the .9 PPG player he was in his prime, but he can still get to .7-.75 PPG and help a team win. That’s actually a good 2C, if you’re thinking in those terms. Zegras will be the 1C offensively at least. These forward lines look OK to me. I don’t see any worrisome holes there. Could a couple spots be upgraded? That’s what Luchanko and Martone are for in a year. It’s the team D that needs to get way better. There are worrisome holes on the blueline.

Dvorak is going to take faceoffs. Whether he takes the draw and then rotates over to wing, we will see.

been saying from day one he will be on the wing much more than center; taking draws.

he didn’t sign here, nor will the coach use him as a 4th line center.

that group is right up there. can compete with any team.

The media just won’t let the Flyers die. In the media the Flyers are always rising from the dead like a vampire. You just can’t drive a stake into the narrative.

At least he says he doesn’t think the Flyers will actually make the playoffs but he put them in the group of playoff caliber teams.

good bet to make the playoffs lol. amazes me peeps dont see how good other teams are currently or can be.

from last years starting roster to this years up front; I think. excluding any rookies as TBD.

    out: laughton, frost, farabee.

    in: zegras and dvorak.

In each of the two previous campaigns, he topped the 30-goal mark despite missing 22 games due to injuries in 2022-23 and a half-dozen games the next year.
    ..
However, there is one legitimate concern with the player. Konecny’s all-out style play is a necessity for him to be effective.

It makes you wonder how long his body will hold up as he starts that 8 year contract. Will he still be the same player in 3 years or will he be in decline?

of course he will be in decline. while very unlikely one can hope they have a brutal year and he asks out. though like his buddy CC he is very comfortable in this losing environment.

Tocchet might want 2 scoring lines and a checking line. He can do that.

    Michkov-Couturier-Konecny
    Foerster-Zegras-Tippett
    Dvorak-Cates-Brink

Tocchet might want 3 balanced lines and put his three best right hand shots on right wing. He can do that.

    Bump-Couturier-Konecny
    Dvorak-Zegras-Tippett
    Michkov-Cates-Foerster

Tocchet might want to leave two lines that worked well late last year together and piece together a third line. He can do that.

    Michkov-Couturier-Konecny
    Foerster-Cates-Brink
    Dvorak-Zegras-Tippett

A lot of options. None bad.

that group is right up there. can compete with any team.

the end result would be nice as good shot at #1. would also cement their status as an incompetent bunch.

not seeing the tippet to Abreau, I mean jake comparison. I am not a jake fan though he was a much better player than tippet. doubt tippet even gets close to his level.

Have you seen their parts? How many teams have better parts than the Panthers?

Not many but no one has as good a team as FLA. The D, after Ekblad, was put together through trades and free agency. Forsling was claimed on waivers. Their 7th leading scoring forward was Evan Rodriguez at less than .4 PPG. I watched their parts carefully in the playoffs. The parts are enviable. The team is better.

when it comes to culture, the “room”, and genuine caring for each other the flyers are not far behind. a few correct moves they will be a force to be reckon with in the future.

can one say their front office knows what they are doing?

It shouldn’t since he already has a full NHL season under his belt.[/quote]

one would think I agree. flyers have 1 elite blue chip prospect. if MM is excluded I disgree with that ranking.

Is there any path for Hart to return based on what you may know or have heard?

In your opinion is there a path to return.
