I feel bad for Brink after he had a great game but Drysdale with 0 points and 0 SOG. Sanheim played another 30 minutes tonight. Neither keeper had .900 sv% tonight

Hahaha! .897 for Ersson. Hardly awful. He stopped a lot of pucks. Very disappointed they didn’t steal another point or two these last two games. It was there for them. The reffing tonight and OT goal ruling were trash. Drysdale has been OK. I don’t care about his offense. He looks much better defensively. Speaking of offense, Zeev Buium scored his first NHL goal tonight en route to his first -4 game against the high octane scoring power of Columbus. Defensively, he’s making Drysdale look like Larry Robinson.

comparing a rookie in buium to a seasoned very like JD is a tad off base. love your obsession with buium. playing a tad under 25 minutes a night last game. take him and his play over what the flyers have to offer, going forward.

however the chances of the flyers developing buium into a top pair guy are slim. better off for laughtchenko. he bleeds fleyrs and plays flyers hockey.

    – need to find a way to get your best player on the ice more. why not experiment with MM on the PK. work with him in practice. Hw silly of me as the flyers think they are a playoff team. no need to work on that and take a long term approach.

    – the jett was impressive in his 7+ minutes. how long does this experiment last? over or under the 4 games he played last year. with florida on deck he will be in the press bx next game. flyer logic.

    – as JJ said, flyers hanging with the best teams. love the “moral” victories 2 games into the season.

    – very important point per boucher.

    – bad call on the goalie in OT. brutal to me.

    – imagine anyone thinking brinks spot was in jeopardy of not cracking the lineup.

    – no MM in OT, see above post.

    – dvorak with top line minutes. predictable.

    – ex selke looking less and les nimble.

    – this team is jus not good. need lots of parts to get it on track. dotn see that happening anytime soon.

    – LHV with a big 5-2 win.

Rick Tocchet thinks Jamie Drysdale can play like Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar

JFC flyers cant help themselves. just a silly as comment. if he is as good as karl dykhuis its a win.

he wont like his $$$$ being taxed out the ass.

either way he isnt a flyers option. they will probably trade for dylan mcllarth…..

As a UFA, are the Flyers an option for Andersson? Vegas needs to do something about replacing Pietrangelo, who might be finished. Climate wise, Vegas would be a bid adjustment from Arctic Calgary. The Flyers do need one Top 4 guy. Byram is the other guy who might be available. That’s about it for now as far as I know.

    option yes. realistic option no.

byram has a 2-year contract then UFA. After being in buff does he want to re-sign with buff south? buff will move him if he wont re-sign long term. do you trade for him without an ext?

their best bet is to somehow trade for someone who has term or control. who that is I dont know.

he will have many suitors. flyers at the bottom of his list I would imagine. therefor not really realistic

once that communist socialist mayor is elected in NY it will be interesting to see if it effects athletes wanting to play in NY. he wants to tax the shit out of high earners.

Andersson is from socialist Sweden so he likely won’t have a problem with that. The Rags organization? That’s a different question.

he wont like his $$$$ being taxed out the ass.

Dvorak is the Laughton replacement. He is not a top 6 player, but Flyer HCs seem intent on playing them in that that role. I have no issue with the contract, but my hope is he moves down the lineup quickly. No issue managing Luchanko and building him up slowly. Grebenkin has earned the right to be in a top 9 spot and hopefully is inserted there against CAR.

Grebenkin is in the lineup tomorrow. Luchanko may be as well. Deslauriers and possibly Abols come out. Tocc said twice this week that he wants to get both of the rookies into the lineup without sitting them for too long (specific to Grebenkin, he said the Russian would play Saturday if he wasn’t in the opener).

Re:Dvorak, the Flyers have two roster problems that they probably can’t solve simultaneously with the current roster.

    * They need more offensive production, BUT
    * They also desperately need to play better team D and lower the GAA.

So when you look at the better offensive players up front, you find that:

    * Michkov is below average defensively.
    * Zegras is below average defensively.
    * Konecny is strictly average at most defensively (but that’s a big jump from where he started)
    * Tippett is also average at best defensively (he, too, started out below-average)
    * They don’t want to separate Foerster from Cates/Brink line.

What Tocchet is trying to do, but may not be able to keep with, is spread thing out a bit. He’s trying to live with Tippett-Zegras-Konecny line as “2/3 just adequate enough” defensively not to kill you while seeking offense. He wanted two defensively responsible linemates for Michkov because he has a long way to go still defensively. Grebenkin is prone to going to the wrong spots defensively and to turning over pucks coming through the neutral zone.

They need to find some way to get more offense and at least lower the defensive issues a bit (I’m only talking forwards here, not the mess that is the blueline).

The Russian came prepared to camp to win a job, played well earned a spot and you sit him. Great coaching. They rave about the jett and sits in favor of……the Olympian.

You play both young guys and live with the mistakes. at least for now unless both are putrid. There is zero reason not too.

Rasmus Andersson, right handed D, pretty good, fits under the cap, end of season UFA. Might be available sooner. We will see. It’s a very safe bet, after the big Frost trade last year, Briere has at least checked in on him.

he is a real good dman. will have a lot of interest.

help me understand why he would choose to come to the flyers for his last big contract.
