ParticipantI would be thrilled if Frondell fell to the Flyers. Hagens, Frondell, or Martone are my preferred choices foe the Flyers.
Realistically he would be my #1 choice out of the players that may be available at #6

ParticipantQuenneville to Anaheim.

ParticipantSennecke, Gauthier, and now Martin seems to be the next top 5 prospect out of no where. I do wonder if the interest in Martin is related to maybe circling back on Rossi. His minutes were reduced in the playoffs, and Guerin recent comments suggest lukewarm interest at best re signing Rossi. Don’t get me wrong, I would rather even draft Eklund over Martin. If Briere acquires a smaller, skilled forward thru a trade and signs him long term, the interest to get physical forwards may increase. Pure speculation on my part.

ParticipantWheeler now has the Flyers taking Martin at 6 in his mock. There always seems to be some player who rises up the ranks in the last weeks leading up to the draft.

yes its me 2050ParticipantWell, seeing how Colorado tried to trade talent for depth, and seeing what Rantanen is doing for Dallas, it would seem to me that the more talent at the top of the lineup, the better chance you have to win.
Rantanen is killing it. Wonder if someone loses their job over that trade.
Flyers are stuck in their winning ways. They need a total reset on how they approach the game.

yes its me 2050Participant“But like I said, when you’re not spending $12 million on a player, or even two like Edmonton does… Colorado has three or four high-end guys. We’re not going to be built that way. So depth will be important to us.”

Participant@MB still need to hit big time with this pick as they really have no margin for error.
jett does not impress me in terms of him being the answer to any top 6 center solution. Not saying he wont be a good player. just dont see that much offensive upside.
Yeah, I really hope they go with best available and if they take a home run swing it had better be worth it. Not pick some kid because he is a “Flyers type player”
Drafting Flyers type players has gotten them nowhere for 50 years.
Hopefully Hagens or Frondell drop to 6. And if not, I say take a swing on McQueen. Then take another swing on Ryabkin if he is there in the 20’s.
They need elite talent more than anything.
