in the 2016 draft he got Keller and Chychrun in the 1st round. that might be better

He was hired in May of 2026. Draft was in June. I highly doubt he hired an entire staff of amateur scouts who created his draft list. Those guys were most likely drafted using a ranked list created by people he didn’t hire. The proof of that is all the dogshit picks (and trades) he made in the following years like Pierre-Olivier Joseph (23rd, Oettinger 26th) after trading the 7th overall pick for Derek Stepan and Antti Raanta, Barret Hayton (5th, Q. Hughes 7th, Bouchard 10th, Dobson 12th), Victor Soderstrom (11th, Boldy went 12th, Caufield 15th) no 1st in 2020 because he traded it like a retard for Taylor Hall as a rental (who played 35 games, 9 playoff games then left) and then quit in disgrace.

Leave it up to the totally brain dead, window licking Retard Ranger to try and compare a one year wonder like Raddysh to Marner’s -1 as a sophomore. I’m sure Raddysh is going to be +50 when they put a goalie not named Vasilevskiy behind him.

I bet you’re still waiting for Bryan McCabe and Morgan Rielly to live up to their contracts too, aren’t you

Your the fucking moron who had to go back to AHL stats from nearly 10 years ago to try and prove you were right about Raddysh ‘gong back to be a -10 player’ you absolute fucking moron. What’s wrong don’t like it when others go and do the exact same thing when it doesn’t suit you or your argument?

Are you actually defending Marner’s season when he played 82 games and was a -1 saying that’s not the player he is and yet in the next breath using Raddysh’s -10 IN THE AHL to claim that’s the player he is?

This is exacatly why nobody respects any of your opinion you clown.

Like I said Sit down and shut the fuck up bitch.

Keep moving those goalposts and being a fucking moron, to not just admit you make shit up and to go back to his 2018-20-19 season in the AHL when he was a -10 to try and pretend you were not full of shit is classic room temp. IQ, moron you. I guess you missed the fact he was a +19 in the AHL in 2022-2023 eh fuckhead?

What’s next you going to pull up someone’s stats from 1 season in peewee hockey to prove a point you fuckling idiot.

Do we now apply your logic & say Marner is going to go back to being the -1 player he was in 2017-2018 in the NHL as a Leaf over 82 games?

Sit down, and shut the fuck up.

For a 4th round pick, Maccelli is a good value pick but still ultimately a bad player and doesn’t help this team win a Cup. If that’s the best Chayka has, he should be fired today.

    Draft Talk!
Iv really only seen 1 mock draft take someone over Mckenna at #1
I have seen a few that put Carels over Ried for the Dmen.

Its got to e Mckenna for the Leafs.

Bukala has Stenberg at #1 and considering his work with the Predators and the Panthers, his rankings hold a lot more weight than most others. Leafs should probably hire him actually.

Stenberg is the better overall player and despite not being big, he’s not a pencil neck like McKenna either. Stenberg has better work ethic on the ice, better two-way hockey sense and his offensive skills are pretty elite considering his scoring record in Sweden that was way better than most other elite Swedish prospects of the past two decades.

Sundin better step in with his Swedish mandate and take the best overall player which is Stenberg. Leafs already have a one-way wing in Nylander, they don’t need another.

this is a pretty odd statement on Maccelli, he was a 4th round pick, and getting a player who scores 45-50 points out of the 4th round is pretty much a home run.
If he was drafted 5th overall or something, I guess he sucks?
if you look at the 2, 3 and 4th rounds from 2019 he is 4th in points per game. thats a got to be one of the best picks he made.
    like wtf

Honestly, B Tkafack isnt that effective imo. He’ll be injured soon enough.

That may be so, but Florida have a tough, experience lineup. They will rebound. After 2 straight years of going to the Cup finals, they had to wear down from too much play. Many of those players competed in the 4 Nations Cup and the Olympics. They played allot of hockey. The same could be said for the Leafs. They played allot of hockey too, but not as much as Florida. Being in Toronto can drag down a player because of the 24/7 scrutiny. It amazes me that a player can be canonized for years, then they become an anchor, then scorned. You don’t get that in many other markets. When players leave the arena, they blend in with the citizenry and nobody notices them. In Canada, they’re recognized most of the time and their privacy is often nonexistent. The upside is the adulation when you’re winning and producing. It’s quite a rollercoaster ride. Anyway, my digression got the best of me. I’m hoping that Chayka is looking for another upgrade or two for the defense. A second line center is also required. The Leafs can throw out two potent lines, but the bottom 6 need to be puck hounds and aggressive. If this team is to contend for a playoff spot, in the toughest division in hockey, they need to get off to a fast start. Last season, they got off to a poor start. What made it worse, was the schedule. It was top heavy with too many home games at the beginning of the season. Once they got off to the poor start, it was uphill because the majority of their games were on the road after Christmas. The last part of the schedule saw them do 3 west coast road trips, and with injury issues, they couldn’t catch up. Add to that, it was a compressed schedule because of the Olympics. The Leafs need to be 3 games over .500 after 10 games. If they can’t achieve this, they’ll miss the playoffs again this year. Too many good teams in the division and it’s too hard to jump over them, once the season trends happen.

It will almost certainly be McKenna, and I’m here for it.

With Florida bulking up, the Leafs better take this in consideration when they make a deal. Yes, the Leafs have to get younger, but they need to get harder to play against. Move off of Robertson and Maccelli. They’re just guys who score when the game is out of reach, either way.[/quote]
