ParticipantNope. I had Beleafs in this team up until yesterday.
you just like to shit on them.Exactly. You BeLeafed in this shit team. I did not. So you were wrong and I was right.
Calling them out for what they are is only “shitting on them” to a homer such as yourself. In reality, it’s accurate criticism of a franchise run by morons and financially supported by emotional retards.
that’s because what fan do, the beleafs in the team they support.
so there is nothing wrong with that.
You just lost faith in this team a long time ago.-

ParticipantI’m glad to see Mermis cleared. Not sure why he was on waivers over Myers.

ParticipantSo, looking at potential trading partners for the Leafs, Detroit seems like the perfect fit to extract draft capital in return for the Leafs veterans.
Top of the list will be OEL. It’s pretty obvious that OEL would love to be on a contender, at worst, a playoff team and Detroit is at worst a playoff team and at best a contender if they make upgrades. OEL probably had some sentimental pull towards Toronto given the legends Salming and Sundin. He may have the same pull to Detroit which had Lidstrom and many other Swedish legends of the 90s.
Detroit has a lot of cap space to fit OEL without salary coming back to the Leafs. But the Leafs could afford to take back Gustafsson at 2 AAV to fill the ice time left by OEL. Detroit has not got the offensive production they had hoped when they signed Gustavsson that OEL has clearly provided for a bad Leafs team on a relatively cheap contract. Gustafsson could be given ice time to rebuild value and traded in the future as he has been a deadline rental many times before.
I could see Detroit wanting not only OEL but also a RHD like Carlo. Detroit is said to be looking for a RHD and Carlo could fit their needs as he would not be used as a top pair D. Again, they have a lot of cap space to make it happen.
The Leafs might be able to get a pair of 1st round picks for OEL and Carlo from Detroit.
Other candidates that could be moved to Detroit would be McMann, Roy and Laughton. I could easily see Detroit paying a 1st or a prospect for any of them for an attempt at a playoff run. The same could be said for Montreal and now Buffalo. I would gladly trade all 3 of them to Detroit, Buffalo and Montreal for a 1st round pick each.

ParticipantHow was I wrong when I did not make any predictions like you did.
You didn’t think this dog shit team was going to make the playoffs week after week of me telling you they weren’t good enough? You’re just lying.
You’re definitely wrong for saying I just throw shit at the wall because I have clearly identified the multitude of flaws with this team at various stages of this season, time and time again.

ParticipantWoll looks absolutely gassed. And Stolarz looked like beer leaguer the other night. They have some decisions to make going forward in the net. One of Woll and Stolarz should be moved. But they have a bunch of other players that should be moved as well.
The issue is: who is going to make these decisions? Is Tree our GM next year? If not, why should he decide who stays/goes? As usual, management of the team completely screwed up.
Name me a worse managed professional sports team over the last 55+ years.
Woll has never stayed healthy or played a full season. He also plays behind a team that gives up more shots and shot attempts on net than pretty much any other team.
Stolarz is the older version of Woll. Good when he’s good, bad when he’s hurt.
You can’t trade either one because Stolarz has a trash contract if he is not playing up to his standard and Woll is still a work in progress. Until they can build up their value, they won’t get anything for them. If they rebuild, they need bad goaltending anyway.
Leafs management is among the worst in all of sports. Treliving must be fired. He can’t be trusted to offload, draft or rebuild. He belongs at a Boston Pizza.

ParticipantUG, you through so much spaghetti to the wall, some of it bound to stick.
Moving players above 25 is not wise.
I was right, you were wrong.
Just like I’m right that everyone over 25 must be traded and this team needs to rebuild.
