Lawsie
ParticipantKadri for Kampf and Jarnkrok, straight up.
Why would Calgary do that?
The leafs are fine down the middle, they need wingers.Beggers can’t be choosers at this point. Leafs need to add some offense into the top 6 any way they can. JT or Roy can both play the wing if needed.
The talking heads are all saying nobody is selling. So the options are Ehlers …..or somebody’s bad contract (Kadri).

ParticipantSo now people want to bring back Kadri?
Geez.
4 years left at $7….got 67pts last season…not bad
But been there done that, time for some new ideas.July 2, 2025 at 8:13 am #14628Fakepartofme

ParticipantSurprised leafs passed on holmberg at 2 years 1.55
There’s a lot of players the Leafs passed on in that price range (1.5-2.5) that are better than Holmberg.
Eller, Sturm, Lafferty for a 6th, Faksa, Perry…
Leafs could have had a totally different bottom-6 with all the “savings”, they were going to sign all these fantastic UFAs…
Instead, we still got guys like Kampf, Jarnkrok, McMann, Robertson, Pezzetta…
Perry is up to $4m with bonuses…so nowhere near that range.
We’ve already had lafferty…so it wouldnt be much change there.
The off season isnt over for another 2 months.
Lots of time.July 2, 2025 at 7:30 am #14618senstrolltwo
ParticipantNazeeeeeem!
In true Leafs fashion, run a guy out of town at his best and his cheapest for a pile of shit in return, then bring him back after he’s won a Cup somewhere else and is washed and overpaid.
Kadri had more goals last season than he ever had with the Leafs.
older, but not sure Washed is the best description

ParticipantMy god the Leafs have perfected the run it back. Kadri would be the lolz king daddy topper and cement just how utterly brain dead our management has been and is. DNA change pffffft.

ParticipantMangiapane, gone to Edmonton for 3.6 AAV after his worst season. Dodged another bullet. But still would have been better than Maccelli.

You know an interesting thing . . . has anyone seen any of the Leafs players post farewells to Marner? Knies reposted the Leafs PR release. Usually teammates post emotional farewells to their friends and I haven’t seen anyone say anything about it.
I’m not saying they wanted it to happen or that they’re happy it did – but it doesn’t feel like anyone is all that devastated that he left. I find that a little strange. I don’t think he was a problem in the room – but maybe some of that yelling he was doing at the team while he was also flailing and failing was just wearing a little too thin.
I heard him chatting with the guys on sportsnet today and he mentioned everyone on the team and didn’t bring him up once. It’s sounding like Marner isn’t being missed.
It was reported a while back that the team was really not as close as the outside perception
