ParticipantI read an interseting trade proposal
To Buffalo: Knies
To Toronto: ByramI guess if Buffalo can’t resign Tuch, Knies is the next best thing for them.

ParticipantFlorida is going to run the East again next year. The only reason they missed the playoffs this year was because of the injuries to Barkov and Tkachuk. Florida finished the year with the most games lost due to injuries. With a long offseason, the team will be recharged and the majority of their team is still in their prime. Pretty much everybody except Marchand and possibly Bob coming back, is 30 or younger. There is a very high chance Florida can fight for a Cup and win another within the next 3-5 years without those draft picks they gave away. That is the benefit of having a core of players collected at the correct time and at the correct age. Florida has a winning formula and their only issue is whether or not they bring back Bob or if they can find a solid replacement for 7 AAV or less. Hellebuyck is the next elite player tired of Canada and don’t be surprised if Florida or any other of these contenders out there (Carolina or Vegas) make a big splash for him next.
That’s BS 100% to the bold and you know it. He wants to win and if he can’t do it in Winnipeg, then elsewhere.

ParticipantIm notsure the Leafs have had a D like Raddysh in 20+ years, a cannon shot. ar least the last 2 years are not full no trade, they can move him if needed.
They need to add speed to the bottom 6, and have a checking line that can handle other teams top lines and not get dummied.
Mikheyev is a UFA, id look at him again, good for 15-20 goalsMikey will cost in the high 5M range over 4 years to sign him.

ParticipantEven if they do manage to trade Rielly, that blueline is going to be very old, very slow and very injured.
I think Carlo and McCabe will be traded.

ParticipantApparently Andrae is LHD
Assuming 44 tradeTherefore:
OEL Raddysh
McCabe Tanev
Andrae Carlo
(Myers is under contract) 🤨Sounds like Chayka wants to leave the youngsters to develop
should have a one way tocket to the moom.
could the Leafs get 4th rnd pck for him since he’s RHD? yeah over paymentdmnted
ParticipantI don’t like Maccelli, he’s pretty useless, but Chayka drafted him in Phoenix so he might have some kind of loyalty to him. It’s also pretty stupid to lose an asset for nothing so they’d be better off qualifying him and trading him to another team to recover something rather than just letting him walk for nothing at all.
You need to trade him prior to qualifying him. He’ll take the Team to arbitration and then you cannot trade him for at least a calendar year. At least that was how it was in the old CBA
I’m sure a Marlies player could replace him.-

ParticipantThe Leafs have 5 pending RFAs with arbitration rights that are going to take a chunk out of that unless they don’t qualify them.
Maccelli @ 4.25, Robertson @ 3, Quillan @ 1, Andrae @ 3 and Ersson @ 2, that’s about 13.25 AAV if they all sign their QOs, go to arbitration or settle.
Trading Rielly to clear more space is the idea but he still needs to accept a trade and a team still has to want him. It’s the same problem the Leafs will have with Raddysh 3 years from now when he’s back to scoring 30-40 points and -10.
I don’t see him coming back to the Leafs. So that would be an extra 4.25 M in cap space.

ParticipantHe’s got $18M in cap space to play with, I would hope there is at least one more big move.
like Trocheck from The Rangers….!!!?????
