The deadline works this way now:

Deadline day: Sellers give away everything for anything or watch them walk away for nothing

Sadly this management is running the deadline, here’s hoping they’re just being one of those teams that just hands out whoever to the best offer on Friday. Let’s face it, they don’t have much, they’re this years yard sale team based around how the guys are playing under Berube’s game.

I’m afraid how this week is supposed to play out, I wish it involved the necessary firings but I’m doubting it. Hopefully, and I mean it, HOPEFULLY, summer will be the beginning of rebuild time. I love this team but they’re lost.

So according TSN Robertson and Stecher are in the group of extras tonight so maybe that’s because they’re on the cusp of a deal? I hope anyways? McMann is also on a top line with Matthews and Nylander so maybe they’re trying to make a guy who isn’t worth rounder look like he is? lol
Lose decently tonight Leafs (and yes I know it doesn’t look good considering who has their pick but I’ll keep hoping for this too the management and coach get changed), let the tradeable guys this week rack up some points.

So when are Treliving and Berube getting fired so the trades can start happening?
Sad to say it but come on, the team is toning out the coach, and the GM tied himself to him. So come on leafs, you’re not making the playoffs, sell time, put a couple part time guys in charge to gain picks/prospects while letting the leftovers and some young guys play. Then go get who they want to put on charge before the draft in the off-season.
Recognize the current goal and go after it,

👍I agree with Dozzer and others it’s probably time to sell now.
Leafs video review team put forth the best performance of anyone on the team last night. Sadly that’s not gong to win you many games, lol.
That being said for those who like to look forward all is not lost, teams have missed the playoffs and come back to win the cup the following year.
Most recently Vegas (missed in 2022 and won the Cup in 2023) and St. Louis (missed in 2018 and won in 2019 (after having a terrible first half of the season).
There are some other notables like Carolina 2004 miss, 2005 cancelled season 2006 Cup, Rangers 93/94 and Pens 90/91 (and another cup in 92), Habs 70/71
It’s not impossible & I don’t subscribe to the blow it up / burn it to the ground and start again theory.

Yup, be honest, say oooops where oooops needs to be said, sell it the fuck off now and get whatever you can for it, and rebuild with the missing types of talent that are far more clear now.
Otherwise, abandon this core totally, say a complete and total fuck it, sell everything and go back into a full rebuild.
Those are the two choices this year. Going after the playoffs is a waste of time, they won’t win in them even if they somehow make it.
