He’s got enough whine. So I’m just browsing Amazon just to see some “starting prices” and I see some blue, leafs, Mitch Marner socks are on for $24.99.
Let’s see how long this price lasts lol
Dozzer
ParticipantThere are multiple factors why players may take less money and no state tax is the only one of them.
The owner doesn’t own any casinos but he does have vineyards… free wine is coming Mitch’s way lol
Dozzer
ParticipantIt’s actually closer to 16.5 AAV in Toronto for 12 AAV in Vegas. 14 AAV in Toronto would have been a discount for Marner.
No surprise he didn’t go to California. He can visit from Vegas but he’s way better off in every way in Vegas. Good for him.
Well players are paid game by game so it’s not a full difference like that, Leaf players only get paid 43 games in Ontario for instance and they aren’t high income earners anywhere else. Also, a notable difference for players on the leafs is they get a notable additional income for marketing which we get zero info about.

ParticipantMAaccelli looks to the leafs 2nd line winger….according to Luke Fox of Sportsnet
I can see that being the initial goal. JT is the net guy, Nylander is the shooter, and the thing that line has always been missing is an effective passer which is pretty much what Maccelli is.

ParticipantAnd thats alot!!!
So I keep telling my GF.
That’s what she keeps telling me, as she pats me on the back lol

ParticipantMust his hair. add some mouse or gel or brill cream and it make your hair that much bigger. lol
Lol the brylcreem reference was a beaut, if we want the 67’ team back maybe they should start making the whole bloody team use it for real lol
Dozzer
Participanthr has Mitch at 183cm and Micelli at 180cm
one of these players is tinylol well 3cm is 1-1/4” ????
Dozzer
ParticipantMust be why Marner helped win 3 games against Florida with a GWG, and two primary assists on GWGs (one in Game 6).
Marner is going to look great holding the Cup over his head in Vegas, just like Kadri did in Colorado.
Who fucking cares?
They lost the series so nobody did enough.
So if you’re the free agent and want to stay it’s either offer up the big offer to the team or see you later.
Btw if you think Colorado won the cup because of Kadri you are just fucking flat out stupid lol

ParticipantI don’t expect a star but a 24 year old fast skating playmaker at 3.4 is fine for the price. If he fails, they can let him go as an RFA or try to trade him at seasons end. He’s the right age and has a decent track record for 2nd/3rd line scoring. He might be a flop, it’s perfectly possible, but the cost was almost nothing outside of cap and it isn’t a huge cap hit.
More like a single than a home run, but sometimes you need to take chances when you don’t have any prospects you expect to make the jump outside of one guy.
Exactly. A nice young 50P guy signed for a year. If he works out great and if not oh well. GMs need to take a gamble once in awhile and safe ones are not worth getting upset about.
Dozzer
ParticipantYou should look closer. Tiny, one-way, wingers with 0 playoff experience is a waste of cap space for what this team needs to have real playoff success.
Good thing they’re not keeping an over priced Marner then. He disappears in games 5 through 7 when the refs put their whistles away and the games become truly physical.
At least the new guy puts up 50% of the points at 25% of the cost assuming his new salary will be at least $14 mill.
Dozzer
ParticipantYou’re happy with this trade?
Tarasenko just got traded to Minnesota for future considerations. I’d rather have him, at least he played under Berube when they won the Cup, than this piece of shit.
Dude if you even care about this you probably masturbated way too aggressively as a teen (or maybe still?) and created some severe psychological damage that you should go talk to a shrink about.
Dozzer
ParticipantI hope our new MM has a spectacular year just to picture him punching the air in his typical rage.
If he actually gets to play an 80 game season and puts out 50P he’s worth his salary for a 2nd/3rd line guy at the age of 24. He’s only signed for this season and he’s RFA at the end, this is not worth even a second of emotional concern lol.
Dozzer
ParticipantUG could quite literally be the leafs GM himself and he’d criticize all his moves online lol

ParticipantThis quote button is like an early Christmas in July!
True the Habs definatley got the best player in this deal right now and it’s not even close. Determining if this is a steal of a deal for them, a fair deal or a bad deal (unlikely IMO) will take years to really figure out since you don’t know what you have in a draft pick for years.
Windows open and close, I’m not convinced the quick ‘rebuild’ vs a complete one isn’t going to be something more and more teams figure out how to do but really it comes down to if players will sign deals that allow teams to do so.
Just smoked a bowl on a shaded front porch, grabbed my phone, opened the page, saw this post first, tried it out and oh boy ????❤️
Dozzer
ParticipantJT at $4.38 a year for 4 years ????
That’s a solid deal for a 2nd line C for the first couple years who will end it off as a very good 3C for the last couple who can always jump into the top 6 due to injury.
