No dmntd I’m not. The people who go to games are predominantly people with a lot of cash looking for something to do or to be seen. They’ll get all liquored up on Chardonnay and boo Marner every time he touches the puck. Embarrassing.
Leafs “fans” in the building are going to embarrass themselves tonight. I don’t blame Marner for getting out of town. Those fans should direct their ire at management.
Yes Marner bled every last dime he could from the Leafs, but they gave him that contract.
This team is not going to make the playoffs by desperately hanging on for loser points. Problem is they probably aren’t good enough to take the game to the teams above them in the standings on a consistent basis.
I find it ironically hilarious that whenever I check in here it’s basically just you two guys left bickering/discussing/arguing like two retirees in a coffee shop. Or maybe an old couple. Carry on.
Who’s next…. the Leaf stick boy? Athletic trainer, equipment manager, maybe it’s the bus drivers fault?
I pop in here once a month or so now because I’m barely paying attention anymore. But it sure is interesting to see everyone feeling about this team now the way I felt about them 6 years ago.
I’m emotionally checked out. I barely pay attention the games anymore. I invested a lot of time and exasperation in these chats when the team could actually have done something to change course. The ship has long sailed on this particular iteration of the Leafs. In true Leafs fashion I’m quite sure it will take them years to decide to start overturning their roster.
