ParticipantAny insight in two which side wants the bridge vs which side wants the long term deal.
I guess one would assume York wants the long term deal, but IMO I would think it is York that wants the bridge.

ParticipantI can’t imagine why Giroux would want to come back to a team that has no realistic cup aspirations for what will prove to me the rest of his career. Same goes for Marner, Ekblad, or anyone else who is in the “win now or never” portion of their careers. You also don’t want to overpay for Sam Bennett.

ParticipantAccording to HockeyDB Eric Lindros made the all rookie team in 1992-1993 Season.

ParticipantWhile I would have loved for him to win, I guess you really cant argue with the winner and results.

ParticipantWheeler at The Athletic has the Flyers taking Hagens, which I would be overjoyed for.
Martin DOES seem like that same old Flyers 70’s mentality pick. He, IMO, is not the “swing for the fences” type player they need to take at #6. Especially when they have 2 more first rounders to use. Scott Laughton is a good comparison.
Hagens
Frondell
McQueen
O’BrienThese 4 would be my favorite choices based on availability. I am pretty sure 1 or 2 of them will be there at 6.

ParticipantRecchi, Amonte, Rob Blake, Juneau all taken in the 4th round in 1988.
I would rather the Flyers take a huge swing at #6 than once again going safe. They did that with Luchanko over Buium IMO.
If Hagens is there at 6 he should be the guy. (Latest Athletic mock has the Flyers taking Hagens). If he is not there I go Frondell, if he is not there, then I take the big swing at McQueen.

ParticipantPick McQueen at 6

ParticipantDanny is a putz. another laughton to hold onto for too many years
Bill, are you going to do something about these alt accounts?
MBFlyerfan1
Participantyou just couldn’t resist, could you? You simply can’t help yourself…
@Bill Meltzer can you do something about these alts that are being created? We know who is doing it…..

ParticipantSeems like another underwhelming hire.
Stay away from Desnoyers. That will be another pick that haunts the Flyers if made IMOI am not familiar enough with either coach to be able to form an informed opinion.
As for Desnoyers, I am always a little leery of players from the Q, the guality of competition especially on defense always seems to be a little lacking.
It seems there has been more and more noise about McQueen lately. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is who the Flyers pick.
