The culture of this team moving forward is huge as we all know. Hopefully he’s moved sooner than later.

Hopefully they find a way to trade Boeser as well. Time for all the flakes to go.

Demko I see as a positive in the room but he is better for the rebuild as an asset if he can get a healthy run in.

After those guys are gone, it’s pretty much the end of that era.

Boeser is a TDL option when teams are hot to trot to add goal scoring. Otherwise he stays when the market keeps shunning him,

Demko is what he is no worries there.

DeBrusk heads the good bye train.

Before the twins became Presidents, they offered to work with EP116 to improve his game. Apparently he blew them off. It’s also been suggested he’s lost his passion for the game which coincidentally occured right after he signed his deal. This team will be crap for awhile, in the long run they are better off without him.

It was further back than that. He started to fall off a couple of month before the deal was done actually. I did notice the “right after the deal” narrative has grown roots since some of the media rewrote the facts as time passed. No Canuck fan should be getting dooped on this. We were all watching and debating it at the time.

If the idiot management team had of waited to the summer like they agreed, EP would have lost bargaining power significantly. Too bad EP didnt refuse then he would have been traded before this became an issue.

I stated often to trade EP if it cost over 10m. Didn’t see any reason to pay more. Sure he could score but he wasn’t a play driver. Play drivers are gold in my books.

Yes Cootes impressed & stood out above against everyone. Still has to make a case to stick in the NHL. UFA signings left that door open. Very good chance he makes the roster.

My wants is seeing a faster style & young guys getting plenty of opportunity to play through mistakes.

Hopefully Raty gets more leash. It was pretty telling when Raty went to the worlds and was one of Finlands better players. Foote had no patience for him even when they were short multiple C’s.

It is Raty’s time he has earned it & Manny imo is a much smarter coach than Foote. Never liked coaches being domineering over players in such a way. Players don’t fully develop if under the microscope in somebody else’s idea of what they should be. Give them much more leash.

Teams who lose their star forwards with these offer sheets will be looking to replace goals. Same for the teams who failed to poach the player. Start packing your bags Jake. 😀

Yes DeBrusk’s value just got improved 👍🏻

5/18m is one hefty new cap hit of roughly 17%
Ducks in hindsight shoulda done say 7/16m. Gauthier up next year. Cap crunch coming fast.

All of a sudden 11.6m doesn’t look as bad lol

I think the team had a good day yesterday. Don’t know much about today’s signing. The Gallagher signing I still don’t get but it’s not worth worrying about. It’s done so move on. I like the Schenn signing and Jamie O.I think Schenn will be an excellent mentor to DPetey.

Agree on Schenn helping DPetey be more assertive & physical along with more savvy on being a total pro. On Gallagher it’s more of of a cheaper vet plug to show kids the grit & determination needed. Cap hit of 3.25m means nothing. Overall it’s about team identity forming up & kids develop & the system taming full root. Manny is looking for a fast North South style.
