ParticipantYeah they have a bit of space but they also need to sign Robertson, he should be cheap though. Kampf, Reavo, Jarnkrok could be moved.
Im hoping the Leafs make a trade to upgrade something, Robertson could be used with some other stuff.

ParticipantSo the Leafs have 5.8 in cap space.
but if you punt Kampf and remove Reaves, that bumps up to 9.5 or soWeird spot for the Leafs to be, having lots of cap space

ParticipantNazeeeeeem!
In true Leafs fashion, run a guy out of town at his best and his cheapest for a pile of shit in return, then bring him back after he’s won a Cup somewhere else and is washed and overpaid.
Kadri had more goals last season than he ever had with the Leafs.
older, but not sure Washed is the best description

ParticipantRielly is unmoveable, he’ll play out the rest of his contract in the Blue and White. But, if Tre somehow moved him and replaced him with Provorov, he’d be an instant legend.
oh I know, but im not going to type that out for every MR post where I trade him

Participant8×6.1m for Ekblad just laughable
3 goals, 33 points, history of concussions. Leafs dodged a bullet. They would have had to pay 9-10 to get him to leave that paradise situation.
I didnt mean leafs missed out.
never thought he was on the Leafs radar.but id have swapped him out for Rielly

ParticipantWith Barkov seemingly signing for roughly $6M, the Cats are going to find a way to keep Marchand.
Tell me again how no tax states aren’t a massive advantage?
probably, send someone to ltir, give brad 3x6m

ParticipantMaccelli had a .975 PDO last season and sh% drop, for someone who looks at plus minus (dumb stat) thats a good buy low candidate

ParticipantBWAHAHAHAHA, bros acting like the 4 foot pass Marner made in game six couldn’t have been made by literally anyone in the NHL.
and who cares at this point, Mitch made his choice. cant really take the heat. wants all the money and no criticism, not a winner

Participantif taking Roberson spot, thats fine. but still need more
Jordan Schmaltz
#LeafsForever faithful a couple quick notes on newly acquired Matias Maccelli, the pride of Turku Finland. A silky smooth highly skilled left winger that is just one season removed from a 57 point campaign. He fell out of favor last season with the coaching staff in Utah and found himself soul searching for his confidence to go along with finding favorable ice time as he battled injury in the eye of the storm. When he’s at his best he controls the play by hanging onto pucks and extending plays with his elite first step in and out of cutbacks. A magician with the puck that plays really well in “high ice” of the offensive zone, spreading out a defense generating grade A’s. The change of scenery could do this kid wonders. He’s such a talent. I hope they let him play his game in Toronto. A guy that slots in the middle 6 and takes a fella like Nick Robertson’s spot. Will be cheering for MM. Love his game too..senstrolltwo
Participantimagine crying over Tarasenko who makes 4.75m scored 11 goals.. and won a cup with stl, 7 years ago
If the Leafs are going to waste cap space on soft wingers, they’re better off doing it with guys who at least have a chance of success in the playoffs.
Or maybe you enjoy watching the Leafs keep make the same mistakes and lose every year when it matters.
Enjoy Malgin 2.0.
id wait for the summer to play out and see where the Leafs Land before shitting your pants.
If they move on from some of Kampf, Yarnk, Roberston and HombergLooking at Malgin vs Macelli i dont see the comp. Malgin was 26 points per 82, Maccelli has 34 assists per 82 (48p), much more of a playmaker

low risk bet. just the cap hit. not sure how he fits Leafs systemIt’s a 2027 3rd that upgrades to a 2029 2nd if Maccelli scores 51 points next year and Toronto makes the playoffs.

ParticipantLeafs acquire Matias maccelli from utah for a conditional 3rd round pick
