ParticipantY’all feel like talking? We all knew this was coming, well, we didn’t really, we just suspected they’d implode with a bunch of top-end guys who aren’t really passionate about hockey (the earring boys) and the guys beneath them are largely a lunch bucket group.I mean Tavares is 35 years old and he’s carrying the offensive load for the Leafs. I’m sorry, it’s over.
meh making the playoffs 9 years in a row. eventually teams start to decline.
i think they could still do a semi rebuild on the fly and not totally wipe the team out, but have to get rid of Treliving and Berube. together have they tanked the teamsenstrolltwo
ParticipantIf the Leafs blow up the entire team, trade Matthews, Nylander, sure. But he’s small and a winger. He doesn’t fit with what the Leafs actually need. He’s another Taylor Hall. Which is fine, but not what the Leafs actually need. He’s not a RHD and he’s not a center and he’s pretty small. Those aren’t bold selling points.
Remember, Yakupov was #1 once upon a time. These small wingers bust all the time as #1 picks.
small wingers the leafs dont need?

ParticipantDubas/Keefe had flaws, but the teams were better

I wasnt a fan of the Treliving hiring from the start, mainly because he didnt do much in calgary and the same is playing out with the Leafs. but has he ever gradually ground this team to awful.
Burube is a shit coach also. but a bad combo. just a downward trend all oversenstrolltwo
Participantwhy do Fans of a sports team cheer for the team to win and want to believe and hope they are successful?

ParticipantNot if it means losing Bo and not signing another bat/reliever.
Apparently the Jays have just over $600m to spend, half has already been spent.
Bo, Bellinger, reliever better than tucker imo.Unless its Tucker and Bo….well then go with that.
Tucker is the best player available, if you can get him..do it.
the reliever can be figured out after, make a trade (Miller!), but also a lot can happen with relievers over 162 games, its easier to trade for them. there are always elite closers available at the deadline.

ParticipantPass on tucker if he wants $418 over 11.
Sign Bo 5years – $150m
Sign Bellinger 5 years – $150m
Grab another relievergive me tucker, I dont care about the number

Participant1 game or 11 games are both way too small of a sample size to have any idea of how any player’s career is going to go dipshit and you should know that by now.
he was just posting a simple stat, not drawing sweeping conclusions about anything, you just need to jump in and shit on anything because thats all you do.

Participantah come on man. dude not going to score 4 frecken goal each game.
you have unrealistic angry viewsbut after 11 games Matthews had 6 goals or .55 goals per game
his career is .63, so he has easily maintained the 11 game sample paceyou know, if dipshit was using the same sample for his dumb post

ParticipantTake out Lauer for Lukes
and
King/Stanifer for Tiedeman👍
any combo works for me, although I would prefer to keep King, but not a deal breaker.
Miller is still cheap contract wise and comes with 5 years of control -
