The Powerplay would improve if they would actually shoot the puck, instead of passing it back and forth from the perimeter with nobody in front of the crease. It seemed like Risto, Tippett and TK were the only ones who were actually willing to shoot the puck. We won’t mention how often the Flyers would miss the entire net. The days of LeClair, Knuble, Hartnell or Simmonds in front of the net are long gone, but it was nice to see Martone go to the crease once he was called up. The Flyers worked hard to make it to the playoffs and win one round, but just imagine how good this team would be if they actually had a decent powerplay? Hopefully Yogi figures the PP out, but I’m not holding my breath.
Foerster is shoot first too. The injury was unfortunate. He looked good when he first came back but hit a wall.
In the Memorial Day edition of Flyers Daily, Jason and Bill talk about the goaltender market and trade/ RFA candidates this Offseason.

Good article. Good season. Canes are just the better team at present. I don’t see Montreal or Buffalo — especially Montreal — beating Carolina.

3. SOMEONE step up please!!!!!!!Win the 5-on-5. Since it seems to be asking too much to win the special teams because of our inept power play, break even on special teams and win the game at even strength. And by all means, score first. Didn’t win Game 2, no, but it put us at least in a position to win. A comeback win almost certainly won’t happen so play from ahead.
Thought Martone was really good. Two straight games now. He’s figured out the pace. Barkey some nice plays. Sick finish by Zegras. That’s about it.
Please tell me Tipp at least is back tomorrow.
