    GO Leafs GO !!!.!!!.!!!!

    Go where? To the auction?

Blackhawks sold Murphy, a defensive D playing 16 minutes a game, to the Oilers for a 2nd round pick.

Leafs can get a boatload of 1st round picks if they just sell hard.

Yes absolutely too short of a sample, but it is you who has constantly bashed Sullivan since his hiring. Usually in your arrogant, disrespectful way, trying to show up anybody who has shown any support for Sullivan. Sullivan was promoted to work with Lalonde and “bring new ideas to the power play” You didn’t like the hire and shit on it right away because you know everything. TO date you have been absolutely wrong as the PP has been running at a rate that would have them in the top 10 of PP percentage since Sullivan has been involved. So no matter how many times you belligerently try to shove your opinion down our throats, to date it is incorrect or at the very least unfounded. It is your opinion and is blatantly proven wrong by the stats. Please note I am discussing Sullivan and the PP so moving the goal posts to “well the Leafs still are not winning” is just immature.

So you say it’s absolutely too short of sample but declare some type of victory in the argument. Typical retard behavior. The improvement on the PP has been the removal of bad ideas from Savard, not from anything Sullivan has come up with. Furthermore, Sullivan isn’t running the PP by himself you retard. It’s been done by committee. Lalonde has also been a worthless coach as everything defensively, except the PK, has been dog shit, which is the major source of this team losing games.

The reason I did not like the hire is because Steve Sullivan is a nobody in the coaching world. Zero experience in the OHL. Zero experience in the NHL. He barely has AHL experience. It’s also why they did not and do not give him full control of the PP either. He’s just another warm body to fill the bench with occasional input. The Leafs were attempting to be a Cup contender and have world class offensive weapons. To bring in a nobody coach with limited experience is showing that the organization has no reputable options. The short term bump in improvement was not because of Sullivan, it was addition by subtraction by removing Savard.

Major improvement. Close to 25% since Savard is gone.

Only 25 games have been played so that’s still considered a small sample size for improvement or success especially when you consider the Leafs have lost 13 out of those 25 games so it hasn’t won them enough games. And again, Savard was always a garbage hire. From day one, he was never the right guy for the job. So being better than total dog shit isn’t an accomplishment, it’s addition by subtraction.

First off I never said amazing, I just didn’t shit on him without him getting a chance like some other incel twatwaffle. However since you asked so politely I believe that:

When Savard was fired late December the PP was about 13% and Leafs were dead last in NHL

I think recently it is close to 19% and the Leafs are close to 19%. Not shabby considering the whole they have had to dig themselves out of, and how shit it was while Nylander was out

And again, the only reason for the slight improvement is because Savard was so useless at his job that him being fired would automatically cause an improvement. The PP is done by committee, not by Sullivan alone. Firing Savard was addition by subtraction. But the PP is still weak considering the weapons it has just like I predicted it would under Savard. Nylander not giving a fuck has more to do with the failure of this team than his injury.

You could have saved me the time reading and just said “everyone is wrong when they do not agree with me, and if they do they are retards”.

Tell me again how amazing Steve Sullivan is as a PP coach you absolute fucking retard.

Keith Pelley is completely and totally unqualified to be running the hockey side of MLSE. He has no experience whatsoever in hockey other than being in corporate “media”. He has mild experience in running the Argos in a two bit league. The only thing Pelley knows how to do is lie through the media. He has no idea what’s wrong with this team, who needs to be fired and what needs to be done to fix it. MLSE will continue to profit and he will not improve one thing of substance on the ice.

Treliving must be fired first and foremost.

    The potential solution:

    President: Ron Francis
    GM: Rob Blake
    Assistant GM: Brandon Pridham
Director of Amateur Scouting: Mike Futa
Head Coach: Steve Sullivan so you can tank until 2029 then hire Rod Brind’Amour.

Grossly overpay Ron Francis to leave his post in Seattle to be the President of Hockey Ops. Looking at what Carolina is today, they’ve built a great team from the ground up and while they haven’t won a Cup, bring a level of competitiveness that the Leafs haven’t had in decades. One day, when Rod the Bod leaves Carolina (contract ends in 2029), that connection to Ron Francis could come in handy.

Rob Blake was always a good competitor and winner on the ice. He’s from Simcoe so he understands the average Leafs fan more than the bullshit corporate greed. He has experience working for the LA Kings and has seen what a tough, defensive Cup winning team looks like as Assistant GM of a Cup winner. He ran their AHL farm team so he clearly understands how the farm system works.

Mike Futa (born in 1967) is seemingly working in the sports media today waiting in the Toronto market for an opportunity. Futa has a connection to both Carolina and the LA Kings. Futa made some great draft picks to help build the last LA Cup winning teams. He could be the Director of Amateur Scouting that the Leafs have desperately needed for decades.

This franchise would look so much different and much better with Ron Francis as President, Rob Blake as GM, Futa as Director of Amateur Scouting and Rod Brind’Amour as head coach. You give those guys the opportunity to start over, trade everybody out, acquire 10-12 first round picks, tank in 2028 + 2029 for a pair of lottery picks (McDavid is also a UFA in 2029) and then build it from the ground up and from the net out.

OK, it’s time to get the Tank out of mothballs and start losing. Time to get near the bottom and get a top end draft pick. It’s obvious that the bed has been stripped and the shitty sheets are in the wash. Anyone that wants this team to succeed must get on the tank and get some prospects into the cupboard. The Leafs missed the wave, the change in hockey. Teams that acquired young talent are now riding the wave to the top. Watching the Habs, Sens, Wings and others, it’s not the veterans that get the job done, it’s youth with mobile defensemen that win in today’s NHL. The Leafs started to build a team to beat Florida. The problem with that, Florida too is on the decline. Both teams could miss the playoffs. The answer is asset management and rebuild your draft capital. It’s time for Rielly, Domi, McMann, OEL and Stolarz to move on and draft picks coming back. The only untouchables include Matthews, Nylander, Woll and Hildiby. Now is not the time to be a buyer. Get the assets, fire the GM and Coach, start with a new Coaching staff and use the acquired Cap Space to get into free agency and rebuild. My friends, you can argue back and forth and disagree, but the retool must start this week, and not the end of the season.

The Leafs are 9 points out of a lottery pick position and 8 points out of the playoffs. It’s as hard to tank that bad as it would be to make the playoffs. The teams below the Leafs know what time it is. They’re all about to get a lot worse and tank hard. The Leafs need all the teams below them to go on a winning streak when they all want to lose as hard as possible. It’s not going to happen. The Leafs will go .500 down the stretch and be pretty much exactly where they are now. They’re still better off winning every game they can to hurt the Bruins draft position. Trying to tank at this point only gives the Leafs better odds at giving the Bruins the 6th overall pick which is the worst case scenario.

Matthews and Nylander are not untouchable. In fact, they should be the absolute top of the list for players that need to be traded. Not for some stupid elbows up reason but because they are the fastest route to rebuild this team. They need to be moved out just like everybody else. This core and this era is over. This team absolutely sucks because the core sucks as a group. That’s not to say they don’t hold value but they need to be blown apart. Just like how Kessel couldn’t do shit in Toronto but won a Cup in Pittsburgh, Matthews and Nylander can win somewhere else, but they can’t win together here.

Yah I don’t argue with many on here, but you do with pretty much everybody.

You don’t argue because you have your hivemind that you agree with. I “argue” with the hivemind and I’m usually the correct one and you’re the wrong one.

Too stupid to realize you have almost single handedly ruined two sites, yet constantly calling people retards for their opinions.

If I call you a retard, it’s because you are acting like one. Like now, I’ll call you a retard for the claim that I “single handedly ruined two sites” when the reality is that this format is dying. This site absolutely sucks and the previous site killed itself because it’s run by a retard that didn’t realize what few users he had left really wanted. But yeah, I totally did that all by myself. All me. You absolute fucking retard.

I have never before witnessed anyone as disrespectful of others as you constantly are.

You have to be respectful to receive my respect. If I’m disrespectful of you it’s because you’ve been a world class asswipe. You get what you deserve.

So tired of keyboard warriors like you who if ever got out of their mom’s basement and treated people like this in person would live a very painful life. But keep being a dick, and moving the goalposts.

Blah blah blah, you’re a bitch. Keep being wrong and pretending to be the victim. It’s typical among your type.

On a more serious note been meaning to ask for a while. If you hate them so much why:
    – don’t you move from Canada
    – do you still cheer for the Leafs?

Leaving Canada is very high on the priority list but not easily done as this communist shit hole doesn’t let you leave easily. Canada actually has exit taxes they force you to pay. But that’s an entire story you’re not entitled to know about. Just know that this refugee camp of a country has hit the iceberg and it’s going down.

I want the Leafs to win a Stanley Cup. I “cheer” for what is best for the team to achieve that goal. You, on the other hand, would watch 18 monkeys shit themselves as long as they wore a Leafs jersey. And that’s pretty much what the game vs. Ottawa looked like.

Yeah I am ok with a difference of opinion.

Absolute bullshit. The only thing you have a bigger problem accepting than a difference opinion is accepting reality.

They will need some trading partners to move players.
It doesn’t sound like teams are lining up for a few Leafs players available

There are plenty of trading partners. Desperate contenders and pretenders always overpay.

To Montreal: Roy for a 1st round pick. Another Frenchman for playoff depth.
To Detroit: OEL for a 1st round pick. Swedes love Detroit, plus they need another experienced point producer on the blueline. Carlo could also go to Detroit for a 1st.
To Buffalo or Minnesota: Roy and/or Laughton for a 1st round pick. Both are the worst two teams in the NHL at FOs. Both want to make a playoff push.
To Edmonton: McMann for a 1st round pick. Hometown kid, plays with speed, they need the added scoring depth when McDavid gets swarmed.
To Utah: Stolarz for Vanacek and a 2nd round pick. Or to Carolina for Kochetkov and a 2nd round pick. Both teams need a viable back-up, 1A.
To Dallas: Robertson and Carlo for Lundkvist and 1st round pick. Dallas needs another RHD for depth and depth scoring.

That’s legit potential for four or five 1st round picks, a 2nd round pick and a young RHD.

Then at the next draft, you trade Matthews. After that, Nylander, Rielly and Tavares will all want out after Matthews is moved. That’s another four 1st round picks and two top prospects for Matthews and Nylander. Tavares might get you a 1st round pick. Rielly is just a straight up dump.

The problem is the king retard Pelley doesn’t want to sell or rebuild. He thinks they can still make the playoffs. And Treliving, being the idiot that he is, won’t make good deals with this abomination of a season being proof of what kind of dumbass deals he made in the past 18 months.

This team is fucked from the top down, just like the country.
