what will be the new slogan next year? this organization must laugh their ass off behind closed doors at flyers fans.

a Nice nonbiased read. Falls on both parties. Flyers haven’t helped him improve. He also hasn’t taken that step. We all know the flyers defense development history so to me more on the organization. Also keep in mind he was a non-drafted player and maybe there just isn’t much there.

I expect him to be traded within the next 2 weeks. Flyers don’t like disgruntles players. Will hurt the “room” and “culture”.

At the end of September, Andrae was sent to the Phantoms after playing just two preseason games. At the time, Flyers management seemed underwhelmed with his early performance. With two smaller statured offensive defensemen in York and Jamie Drysdale, the team seemed reticent on having a third.

Following their opening two games (and really going back to the end of preseason), Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet hasn’t received consistent play from his depth defensemen. Egor Zamula struggled mightily in that time, Adam Ginning made the roster as a long shot, while Noah Juulsen has been relatively nondescript in his play.

Gilbert, who had been waived prior to the York injury announcement, was scratched in both regular season games.

Deja vu. In choices between size and skill, youth and vet they picked the team they wish they had instead of for the team they actually have. I get that they would rather Emil never play an NHL game for them ever again because he would never make the FLA panthers 6’+ blue line but neither would most of the Flyers defense for other reasons. When given a choice between making the best bad choice or the worst bad choice. They tend to make the worst.

Good to see that Jett is projected to play. As long as he’s up he might as well be playing.

I do think Tocchet’s honeymoon period isn’t going to be long, he needs a win or at least to show growth as a team. A long losing streak to start the season isn’t going to sit well with a team that is in the playoff mix.

his handling of MM will bear watching. for hinm to have less minutes than all the top 9 forwards is comical. needs to buy into “flyers” hockey.

Playing a big heavy panthers lineup seems to me they need the beef of abols and ND……

Be typical flyers to call up andrae then sit him. Flyers need to see what they have in him, unless they have already determined he isn’t an nhl player. Juulson stinks and zamula hasn’t improved. Read someehwere zamuls agent is whining about playing time. Any truth tp that Bill?

Insert Andra and keep ginning as well.

Its early though they need to realize this is not a playoff nor anywhere near a contending team.

good start for kaplan after a lackluster cpollegeoate career. never took that next step.

good start for the goalie as well.

sooner flyers realize hunter mac is not an nhl caliber dman the better. though the big hype they created has subsided.

I hope eventually we see Grebenkin on the PP as a net front presence. Not sure how Briere is going to resolve this glut at wing, but if the game plan is to be a puck possession team, going to need wingers who can constantly win along the boards and protect the puck. Grebenkin and Foerster are the two best options. Maybe Grebenkin gets more then 11 shifts if the team stops taking dumb penalties, just need to find a way to get him more shifts.

makes zero sense to keep both the russian and the jett if going to give them shit minutes. flyers just have the wrong approach. all about the current day and results.

excluding the 4th line, MM has the lowest TOI among the forwards. going to be something to watch going forward with the most overpaid coach in the game.

    0 shots so far

Through 2 complete games. Drysdale has 0 SOG, 0 points, -1. I can see the Makar comparison.

    nah more like quinn hughes

sanheim, drafted by ronald hextall, is the flyers best dman. in 10 years they have york and nothing else to show from their drafts on defense

I feel bad for Brink after he had a great game but Drysdale with 0 points and 0 SOG. Sanheim played another 30 minutes tonight. Neither keeper had .900 sv% tonight

Hahaha! .897 for Ersson. Hardly awful. He stopped a lot of pucks. Very disappointed they didn’t steal another point or two these last two games. It was there for them. The reffing tonight and OT goal ruling were trash. Drysdale has been OK. I don’t care about his offense. He looks much better defensively. Speaking of offense, Zeev Buium scored his first NHL goal tonight en route to his first -4 game against the high octane scoring power of Columbus. Defensively, he’s making Drysdale look like Larry Robinson.

comparing a rookie in buium to a seasoned very like JD is a tad off base. love your obsession with buium. playing a tad under 25 minutes a night last game. take him and his play over what the flyers have to offer, going forward.

however the chances of the flyers developing buium into a top pair guy are slim. better off for laughtchenko. he bleeds fleyrs and plays flyers hockey.

    – need to find a way to get your best player on the ice more. why not experiment with MM on the PK. work with him in practice. Hw silly of me as the flyers think they are a playoff team. no need to work on that and take a long term approach.

    – the jett was impressive in his 7+ minutes. how long does this experiment last? over or under the 4 games he played last year. with florida on deck he will be in the press bx next game. flyer logic.

    – as JJ said, flyers hanging with the best teams. love the “moral” victories 2 games into the season.

    – very important point per boucher.

    – bad call on the goalie in OT. brutal to me.

    – imagine anyone thinking brinks spot was in jeopardy of not cracking the lineup.

    – no MM in OT, see above post.

    – dvorak with top line minutes. predictable.

    – ex selke looking less and les nimble.

    – this team is jus not good. need lots of parts to get it on track. dotn see that happening anytime soon.

    – LHV with a big 5-2 win.

Rick Tocchet thinks Jamie Drysdale can play like Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar

JFC flyers cant help themselves. just a silly as comment. if he is as good as karl dykhuis its a win.

he wont like his $$$$ being taxed out the ass.

either way he isnt a flyers option. they will probably trade for dylan mcllarth…..

As a UFA, are the Flyers an option for Andersson? Vegas needs to do something about replacing Pietrangelo, who might be finished. Climate wise, Vegas would be a bid adjustment from Arctic Calgary. The Flyers do need one Top 4 guy. Byram is the other guy who might be available. That’s about it for now as far as I know.

    option yes. realistic option no.

byram has a 2-year contract then UFA. After being in buff does he want to re-sign with buff south? buff will move him if he wont re-sign long term. do you trade for him without an ext?

their best bet is to somehow trade for someone who has term or control. who that is I dont know.

he will have many suitors. flyers at the bottom of his list I would imagine. therefor not really realistic

once that communist socialist mayor is elected in NY it will be interesting to see if it effects athletes wanting to play in NY. he wants to tax the shit out of high earners.

Andersson is from socialist Sweden so he likely won’t have a problem with that. The Rags organization? That’s a different question.
