yes its me 2050ParticipantIf Risto has become a prime trade target as reported (skeptical myself- flyers propaganda machine hyping him up) than a smart management team would not play him and move sooner rather than later.
Now ask yourself do you think the flyers have smart management?
Did the team miss him in October and November? Maybe. Will risto be on this team if they ever reach contention? The answer is no (then again maybe a 5 year ext will given out) so you move him; why this is a hard choice is laughable. With or without Risto this team isn’t going anywhere.
They have nothing in the system (physical right-shot defenseman who can play 20+ minutes a night). Not even close.
As far as Sanheim the flyers have repeatedly shown they are not a forward-thinking franchise. The fact he wants to stay speaks volumes. Not the kind of player I want moving forward. He has a great contract; even more reason to move him and his BFF. Why guys like him don’t ask out is something I will never understand.
Reluctant to move Tippet. Again, speaks volumes.
They really think they can win with this group overall. All you can do is shake your head. Shit they don’t even want to trade Seeler or GH.
Dvorak ext looking great.

yes its me 2050Participantmakes me laugh when these podcatsers bring up moving Andrae. What do you expect back by moving him? 4th rd pick at best? maybe a throw in in a bigger deal. he has next to know real value.
Brink same thing, whats he get 2nd rd pick? an add in to a bigger deal? maybe. rather get a younger prospect at this point than a pick.
zhitnik head and shoulders better than risto
berglund is not playing 5-6 minutes a night. upwards of 16 minutes and since the WJC 19 minutes. What I saw recently. if that is correct.

yes its me 2050ParticipantBoth the Flyers and LHV lack a legit powerplay QB. They also lack players with vision and good instincts. This is an organizational issue in terms of drafting.
yes its me 2050Participant– Agree with JM and Bill 100% on vladar. As well on Zegras. No need to extend at this point.
– Why on earth would Matthews want to come to Philly when he has pick of where to go? Why would Trocheck? No top end players are coming to Philly. They have next to nothing to offer.– Tearing it down to the studs is the most successful path. None is guaranteed. Seems you make excuses for the flyers not to. The flyers way is 100% guaranteed to fail. How much proof do they need to see this is true. None is guaranteed.
– Danny has zero balls to make a big move. He is a scared dog to make a bold trade. They are so far away from legit contention.
– Look at Vladars numbers month by month. Has the clock struck midnight? October looks like an outlier when you look at his career. Let this season play out and the 1st half of next season before you extend. If you extend.
– Will TK and Sanheim ever come to their senses and ask out?
– Way too many players are still too comfortable losing. Look at who has been here for a while.
– No need to buy out ex selke at this point or anytime soon seeing the flyers are nowhere near contention.

risto has trade value. unfortunately, the flyers overate and overvalue what he brings so he wll not be moved
At some point, the Flyers will need a defenseman who brings what Ristolainen offers. However — and not through Risto’s fault — that time is not now.
at some point, that could be 5 years from now.
risto is a solid bottom pair guy. that’s it. that has value 100%. playing hm in the top 4 is not what a cup contending team will do on everyday basis. we both know he will be ext if he comes back and plays the rest of the flyers games. flyers overrate hm and all their other players. flyers are no better or no worse without Risto.
where is his replacement hunter Mac? “jonesy” hyped him up for zero reason and he will never ever be an nhl regular.

yes its me 2050ParticipantThere is zero doubt this is exactly what the wonder twins will do. They take the road od least resistance. It will be for 5 years – 5.5-6 million per.
God forbid they wait as to me there is zero rush. They jumped the gun with Dvorak so expect the same. See how the rest of the year plays out then first half of next year.
Wonder what a Dvorak and vladar package would have looked like return wise. From Edmonton especially. both are core players for the flyers though…
