Load Management
ParticipantI honestly thought nobody was touching the Avs this year.

ParticipantI can live with this site much better. Same here unsure if they stand pat or trade down. Trade up imo makes no sense given need more assets not trading them.

ParticipantRegardless, the available talent pool thins fast for losing teams with the sort of track record the Canucks have over the last decade or so. I can’t see them being high on anyone’s list of places to sign both on and off the ice.

ParticipantMark Stone is the quintessential player that can’t skate very well but he’s such a good, clutch, player.

ParticipantSo…remember the good old days on HB when we used to have the bestest conversations about the Canucks, gosh I kinda miss those days. Despite some serious flaws with this format let’s get some conversations going again about the Canucks, a lot is happening on the “left coast” right now. Cheers!!
What was you HB username?

ParticipantYeah, everything seems to be pointing in that direction. Personally, I have mixed feelings about yet another rookie Coach and GM combo. But at this point I doubt there’s many other options. I can’t see the demand being high to be part of the 32nd place team that’s in no rush to win.
Ownership has a lot to do with who they can and can’t hire, in my opinion. The Sedins, much like Linden, were golden boys in Vancouver, but that didn’t work out so well for Trev, maybe Aquilini has learned. But I doubt it.

ParticipantHB had its day but time to bury it.
Coaching hire oughta be coming soon & the draft is coming up fast.
This format has its issue as well, but at least it’s somewhat better than HB, which is deplorable.
The draft is going to be interesting, on many fronts, I’m not sure at this point if the Canucks stay at #3 or they move up or down???

ParticipantI’m down. As bad as this format is, I can’t even post on Hockeybuzz.
I’m thinking Malhotra will be hired sooner than later, but stranger things have happened, I’m just glad Rutherford is mostly out of the picture, he was the creator of a lot of problems within the organization. Either by opening his mouth too much or by not dealing with internal things in a timely manner. I’m hopeful the Canucks are in a better place now, even though it won’t show it in the standings for a while.
