Mr Ricochet
ParticipantFollowing everyone over here. Thanks for setting this up, boiler.
Having some trouble as it is repeatedly asking me to log in, but was able to post after a few tries. Will see how it works going forward.
Glad to see you here. totem. Not sure if you saw Frenchy mention his background but IIRC he mentioned he was involved in jrs for awhile cutting up video. With you here posting about what you see at WHL games and if paul makes it over we’ll get OHL thoughts too. ….. That’s some decent coverage of Major Junior.

ParticipantTomorrow I’ll have a full piece on Rookie Camp — everything you need to know in one place. Thanks as always for your support! Which prospect are you most excited to watch? Let me know, and I’ll do my best to cover it.

ParticipantHere’s a link to a page showing the Hawks prospects and where they are playing. Click on any column header to sort accordingly. This is good to bookmark since the site will be updated throughout the year with current stats.

ParticipantThanks for this.
I’m just hoping for one “holy crap” surprise jump in skill level at this event.
Any more than that would be gravy.Guess the college guys are already on campus. Interested to see how Behm does; he’s got a lot of scoring touch but needs to be more engaged physically or he might fade to gray at higher levels.

ParticipantHere’s a comment I made to a Frenchy article about Bertuzzi:
Bertuzzi was a “do something” signing.
He was an erratic knucklehead all season, same as he’s always been.
It’s tough to say this about a $5.5mm player, but they need to put him in the right situations so he can succeed.
He needs to remain on the PP, because he does create some confusion around the net.
But for heaven’s sake, keep him off Bedard’s line.
Just in his time w/Bedard before Xmas, I saw him fail to finish a good 7 or 8
open looks Bedard served him. Whiffed, shanked, missed the net, or shot into the goalie’s chest, he did it all.Any improvement he makes from last year would be like finding money on the sidewalk.

ParticipantHey everyone from over at Hockey Buzz. Sad to see that place fizzle out, but hopefully there will be some good discussions here as the season is quickly approaching. I didn’t comment too much, but I would always enjoys the banter from the fellow fans.

ParticipantHawks roster for Kurvers showcase.
Thanks for this.
I’m just hoping for ONE “holy crap” surprise jump in skill level at this event.
Any more than that would be gravy.I think Nick Lardis is going to stand out, maybe along with Vanacker and Spellacy.

ParticipantNice read by Ben Pope on how Lucas Reichel spent this summer training overseas. I remember reading some of the comments on HB about his play and those comments were spot on with some of the comments made by his current skills coach regarding Reichel’s deficiencies. Hopefully he has learned enough from this training and can take the next step forward towards his development.
