It’s good to see the band is almost all back together

It seems like Arty is being given the longer leash but if he continues ending up on the wrong side of the puck and no look passes to the opponent in his own zone, he will go to the Rock.

But as Blashill said he knew his guys would be tired because of the practice earlier in the day and slow defensively because they would be thinking more than playing his system.

Now that’s the one timer I’ve been waiting to see from Bedard. Glad they finally figured it out

Bedard looked great other than the turnover. Best forward on the ice last night for us.

It’s sad to say but it looks like Reichel is just continues to be a floater when he’s on the ice

It’s crazy that he has such good speed and refuses to use it defensively.

Watching last night one thing was obvious team speed is nice but the team that played with more discipline and structure won last night. Something i hope Blashill instills in the team.

With Oliver Moore standing in front of the goalie taking his eyes away

But then Arty does something like that and leads the rush for the game tying goal, can’t wait till he’s ready

Watching Kurvers and tonight’s game Arty is going back to Rockford. Korchinski looks like he has a better chance to make this team.

Dots, you’re struggling to keep up buddy. Read it again, slowly this time: “it’s about a team’s current makeup/needs as to whether #1 center or #1 RD is more needed”. Didn’t mention the Hawks, just said “a team’s”. For example (for fun as you say), one could argue Toronto given all the scoring they had up and down the lineup would value a #1 RD over a #1 center. If they traded Matthews for Makar (which would never happen), Toronto would be better off as long as they kept Marner and extended Knies. Sorry Queafs fans, but you’re not getting past Florida to the Cup Final if your top pairing is Rielly/Tanev and some fillers.[/quote]

I’ll try harder next time, it’s difficult for me to keep up with how brilliant you are and how i am just so fortunate to read what you write and try to make sense out of it.

    Bonafide second line center

For those of you comparing McTavish at 22 years old to Benny in his prime, remember when Benny was 22 years old he was putzing around with the Flames putting up 27 pts while McTavish had 52 pts. The epitome of apples to oranges. Again, it’s about a team’s current makeup/needs as to whether #1 center or #1 RD is more needed (not more important).

Teams current needs? For fun let’s say we trade Rinzel or Arty, who in the pipeline even comes close to the ability of either one on the right side defensively? No one so then you immediately create a need for another RDman when you actually have a ton of forwards who one of whom may possibly become that center. No offense but that would be a horrific trade.
Friendly reminder we won 3 SCs without a bonafide second liner.

Listening to chgo Blackhawks podcast, sounds like Connor Bedard is indeed noticeably faster and much better on his edges, maybe he plays tomorrow?

    Thx for the intel.

They also said Reichel looks good and they feel like Moore is being given every chance to win a roster spot. He admits every time he thinks who is that it ends up being Moore

Dots, Bedard has to add some explosion in his first step. The league has been on to him for awhile. They let him enter and just front him above the circles knowing he can’t beat an NHL Dman so he checks up and deals with back checkers and coughs……….. If he can add some explosion in his feet it’ll allow him to get a step on those Dmen and access the high danger area.

    He’s gotta add some jump.

According to the guys he did, that’s what I’m trying to tell you Rico. I believe that’s the reason he didn’t join the worlds after the season was over

BTW, Kantserov with a goal in Magnitogorsk’s 5-4 win. He has 3G and 3A in their last five games after being held scoreless in the first two.

It would be nice if he signs here next year. Maybe he’ll play a while at Rockford to get used to the smaller sheet of ice and become a contributor later next season, or more likely the 27-28 season. By that time, assuming Frondell, Moore, Greene, Lardis, Vanacker, and Boisvert are on the team or close to making it, and along with Bedard and Nazar, the top nine should be pretty well established.

Looks like we are going to run into the same problem that we are going to have with our dmen, not enough roster spots for all of them?

Depth and more depth and more depth, love it, and that’s why i love the salary cap going up boiler. Everyone gets caught up in lines and centers and so on, all i want is my 19 players to be better than their 19 players and that’s what the Blackhawks are building
