ParticipantWith McT it’s got to be the owners pulling the strings, I’ve said it before poverty franchises stink to be a part of.

Participant2026 1st rounder
FLA still has the option to trade their 2026 1st sometime before the 2026 draft in which case the Hawks get the Panther’s 2027 1st.
Maybe FLA will use it in a package to obtain McTavish for use as a replacement center.
A lot of disgruntled trades for a young player require a young player going the other way, I’d imagine Lundell would be their requirement in the trade for McT

ParticipantHoly crap Barkov out for the whole season.

ParticipantI know it’s his first preseason game but Buium looked worse than Korchinski yesterday.
I always thought his feet were a bit slow especially in reverse kindof like Sanderson but I’m probably wrong

ParticipantBesides isn’t that exactly what KD did with Kirby Dach?
Trading Dach away while he was young was part of the tank process and it happened over 3 years ago.
The (major home run) return for Dach is already in the NHL.
KK is part of the rebuild process. Trading him now likely nets you picks or a project just like KK.I have not seen any wild guesses, what do people think KK is worth in a trade right now?
If they can get a high first rounder like they did for Kirby Dach, then go right ahead. (unlikely for the 2026 draft due to the presumed draft strength?)
Otherwise, my choice would be, don’t give up until he is toast. We agree about Korchinski, except for a high first, i believe in draft and develop not draft and give up to soon on a player.
It was just me pointing out that he had no issue trading a Bowman pick just like Waddle had no problem trading Jarmos pick Jiricek.

ParticipantRegarding a Korchinski trade…
I remember a comment from CBJ GM Wadell after he traded #6 OA Jiricek a year or two ago. Paraphrasing he said you can’t fall in love with your draft picks. If it’s time to let one go, let him go.
Not saying it’s time to trade KK, but I hope KFC exhibits this type of attitude down the road when necessary.
Easy to trade away a player you didn’t draft. Besides Jiricek expressed his unhappiness with the org.

ParticipantI think this guy would fit in well here, hahaha

ParticipantIn the preseason game the one thing i did not like was the forwards not engaging the puck carrier, instead stopping short and guessing where the pass was going, i sure hope that’s not part of Blashill’s approach.

ParticipantIt’s good to see the band is almost all back together
It seems like Arty is being given the longer leash but if he continues ending up on the wrong side of the puck and no look passes to the opponent in his own zone, he will go to the Rock.
But as Blashill said he knew his guys would be tired because of the practice earlier in the day and slow defensively because they would be thinking more than playing his system.
