Ottawa just traded their captain for 3 first round picks and a second. This could open the door for Debrusk for the 25 th? Canucks with the 24th and 25 th might look at the twins if they are still on the board.
I am getting a Canuck like vibe from the Leafs. They seem to be fast tracking a path to a black hole. I see them making a lot of dumb moves.
Yesterday’s word was Aquilini was willing to retain 3 mil just to get him off the books. I don’t know how much is true but from what I have heard was he wanted EP signed at any cost. Then blocked a trade to Carolina and now wants him gone.
Have you ever seen a NHl franchise with less lack of direction?
There is lot’s of talk today about other teams asking about trades for EP40 Debrusk Boeser Hronek (Stupid if they do).
Teams are dumpster diving looking for buy low trades.I really despise the EP$$40 signing but trade him at the trade deadline. Same with Boeser. Keep Hronek he was leader last year and the young D can sure learn a lot from him.
I wasn’t implying trade I was referring to Demko’s injury history. I think Tolopio would be pulled of waivers. Many teams looking for goalies.
I feel sorry for MP. He had to play for Canucks last year. I think with this new start a lot of good things could happen. Have to wait and see but I am fine with one more year at 32.
I think draft Reid and Canucks D will be very solid in about 2-3 years including Hronek and MPetey. Then they concentrate on C and forwards. I would also consider running with 3 G this year to start in case Demko gets injured again.
