ParticipantPro tip for those Jays and Leaf fans who are priced out of the Jays game on Saturday.
The Leafs moved the start time of their game to 5pm and are showing the Jays game on the jumbotron after the Leaf game.
I just looked on Ticketmaster and there are still A LOT of unsold tickets and as a result lots of resale tickets at face value or less.
I saw some of my favourite seats (Blues at the end of the rink where the Leafs shoot twice) 1st row for just over $200 per seat from a reseller and there are quite a few low rows in that area. I like the ends because the sections are nice and small and it’s easy to get in and out of your seats + everything is close (bar, washroom, concessions etc.).
If I wasn’t busy Sat. night I’d definitely have done this – seems like a great chance to be downtown and enjoy the chaos after the Jays win game 2 & hopefully the Leafs are on game 2 of their next winning streak.

Participantng for so stop caring about that lol
And as much as I hate to say this the truth is simple. Once his contract is coming to an end he will be in his 30s, will no longer be able
To get everything as a bonus on July 1st and play for league minimum, and the leafs will have nothing really worth mentioning in development yet.I really hate to say this man but the leafs have 5 years tops before a rebuild will be needed. They’re already at a decade for this core, no upcoming good picks, prospects aren’t deep, and the core of this team will be 30+ VERY soon.
It’s going to feel like 2010 again before you know it.
So the Leaf victories we can cheer for will be that our goon beats up the other teams goon and we catch a great team on a back to back after 5 games in 6 nights and get a goaltending performance for the ages in a win?
Sign me up!
lol
I still remember the terrible Leafs team in 1983 beating the powerhouse Oilers and Bunny Larocque stopping the great one on a penalty shot.
lol

ParticipantI guess the “jinx” that the little mouth breathing incel claimed I put on the Jays worked – Jays to the World Series baby!
Bonus for me since my ticket connection came through and I’ll be in the 200 deck for game 1 at face value – because no shot I would drop the type of $ the resale market is asking for even nosebleeds that’s pure insanity!

ParticipantLeafs make a couple waiver wire claims.
Cayden Primeau and Sammy Blais
I would guess this may end the Reimer return.

Participanthumm,……
I see some post are gone.
Thanks Cush for the now gone post about the waived players.
A. Nylander. I though he signed an AHL contract again with the Marlies.
Wonder why my post was deleted?
McJesus signing or 2 years at far less than what he is worth to me is simply him saying to Edmonton’s brain trust “if you clowns can’t get me the supporting cast to win a cup I’m gone afterwards”.
Him taking a deep discount to allow them to do that is him really putting the pressure on the Oilers.
The fact his deal ends the same year as Matthews is wildly intriguing and will make for some heated chatter from almost all fanbases if neither of them extend very early before that deal is done. I can already hear the chirping about how both Canadian markets are going to lose their captains etc……
lol

ParticipantRadical Marxist transtifa gender theory has irreversibly damaged and sexually mutilated a lot more children than fee-fees.
This isnt a thing, you little coward.
But keep whining
Did he actually post this and then edit his post hoping nobody saw it?
Good god what a loser.

ParticipantStay Classy, Rob.
How do you feel about being one of the main contributors to the fall of Hockeybuzz, Rob?
You talking about being classy is pretty funny coming from the guy who has created user names to pretend to be others both here and on HB, challenged someone to a fist fight but only if that person drove to him and just generally posts garbage non stop on whatever forum he’s on.
It’s flattering that you think I have or had that much influence on a website, anyone who has spent any time there knows it’s people like you who drove users away and just annoyed everyone who stayed endlessly. Why aren’t you posting there under your actual username or one of your alts? Are they all still banned?
Banned by others I might add not just me when I was a big mean mod who you claim had it out for you all the while you sending me PM’s asking me to team up with you in your epic battle against Joel (who was and continues to school you non-stop). The fact you were trying to get me to side with you just shows how truly desperate and clueless you are.
But sure – you are super classy & everyone should strive to be half as classy as you are.
Thanks for the Friday morning laugh.

Minnesota is a highly taxed state, nearly the same as Alberta total (46.5% in Minnie and 48% in Alberta, still better than Ontario’s 53.53% thanks Dougie) so I’m guessing that’s why it was so high. Still it’s over a $9 mill take home, I know it’s not the nicest place to live but damn, $2 mill more of a take home than Marner to keep him there? Yikes.- Dozzer
Thank god the Leafs didn’t overpay to keep Marner like this.
The fact there is only one poster who spews his garbage on here daily about how the Leafs should have overpaid Marner (who by the way didn’t want to stay anyway) simply shows the vast majority of Leaf fans are fine with the Leafs not making this same type of mistake with Marner.
And to preemptively respond to the “Marner left because of the fans, media, crime blah blah blah” – suck it up buttercup. Marner is the poster child for spoiled, soft kids. He has been told his entire life he was special and better than everyone else and when he wasn’t he took his ball and ran away to somewhere new where they told him what he wanted to hear.
Great player but spoiled brat.
If he was a pro athlete in a single person sport with the talent he has he may have had far more success but he’s not built to be a team player and it became more and more obvious as his time in Toronto came to an end.

ParticipantYankees blew a lead and bases loaded with none out in the bottom on the 9th last night – it’s nice not to have to hear/read all the Yankees fans yapping today. lol
Prices for Jays post season tickets are crazy (resale because who was fast enough to get decently priced seats when they went on sale?).
I’m on some text dist. thingy for when the $20 GA tickets go on sale and I’m sure I won’t get any that way either lol.
I have a guy I used to work with who has seasons and he was selling tickets but I was too slow to get anything from him for the ALCS and I’m away for the ALDS.
Much like MLSE if season ticket holders want post season tickets they have to buy the entire set right up to the world series apparently. I locked in for a WS game at a really good price from him, figured it may be a once in a lifetime opportunity if the Jays get there so why not?
