ParticipantBichette to the Mets, 3yr $42M per. Insane for a guy who is below average defensively. But SUCKS to see him go.
I think the team we have now is the team we’ll have on opening night. What little remains is going to be priced WAY too high.
Jays still need another bat.
No way Bo is worth that kind of cash…neither is tucker.Time to pivot

ParticipantLiterally out of necessity because of injuries to almost all their centers. Like I said, he’s at 120ish FOs which means he hasn’t played center for most of the year.
But he’s more than capable of the task. Leafs were too stupid to do it from day one.
No one said he did play for most of the season you fucking idiot.
Just said they have him playing center.Next time, just STFU, you dont have to soil everything with your nonsense.
Fakepartofme
ParticipantNeither Bo n’or tucker are worth the money.
See ya later and good riddance.Fakepartofme
ParticipantI heard marner is being used as a center in vegas?
Gonna be really tough for him in the playoffs if he stays in that position. You should get your hearing checked because Marner has only taken 127 FOs. 54% in the Dzone though.
He should have always been a center. The Leafs and their retarded player development strategy screwed that up. But he could play center. He’s strong enough defensively to do it. The hard part is the FOs that usually takes years to become among the best at. He’s not that big but he could play center if he had to, certainly better than the 20 times they tried with Nylander to abysmal failure.
Honestly, just stfu once in a while.
“Marner second-line centre
There is a twist that few saw coming: He’s the second-line centre in Vegas, behind Jack Eichel. Second line is one thing, but centre?ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW
“It’s been good,” said Marner. “I think a bit of my game is suited to being a centreman: getting low, supporting, helping out our defence. But it’s a new adjustment in taking faceoffs, trying to get good at that, the patience for that, trying to win more draws.”Fakepartofme

ParticipantGreat win by the leafs
Great jerseys for the Avs.Willie with 46pts in 35 games. Wow. On fire.
I see a former employee has 46pts in 44 games…not bad.
But he’s no willie!!!

ParticipantThings are quiet atm in Jays Land, but reading about how the Red sox top target was Cease and how Bregman called thier buff and signed with the cubs is good off season stuff.
my gut feeling meters for Bo/Tucker going to the Jays
Tucker 50%
Bo 20%Bo isnt worth $300m…specially as he will be a 2nd basement within a year.
Tucker; if he signs with the Jays it will be for too long and too much.
If he signs with the dodgers or mets, it will be short term but a higher aav with opt outs.I think the Jays miss out on both.
and maybe overpay for bellinger.-

ParticipantWell, I was hoping for a top 5 pick in the draft this year, but the Leafs are leaf’n that and winning lol.
So lets get into the playoffs, Leafs are looking good.Go leafs Go!

ParticipantFrom the President trophy winner from last year to the basement of the league the next.
Missing Hellebuyck for 2 month and he hasn’t look the same since he’s been back after the injury.
They cant seem to hold a lead…..ever.
Fakepartofme
ParticipantIn fairness, the Dodgers didn’t have that either, and they just won the world series back to back. We’ll be fine. Let Ross cook.
Ya the Jays were inches away from winning the World Series (heck one bad call away) all without their best hitter for 95% of the playoffs… but yet its time to panic, end of the world blah blah blah.
The pitching staff looks better, now they need another bat.Fakepartofme
ParticipantFrom the highlights, it looked like a great game last night.
Nice win. Gotta keep it going.
Jets – WTF? 11 losses in a row?
Fakepartofme
ParticipantI think it reduces the chances a little on Bo, but I guess have to make the moves when they present themselves.
projects around 2.5 war, 22-27 hr. .800 ops. solid bat addition
Due to this being the 2nd year the Jays have gone over the luxury tax, they will be charged an additional 30% on top of their current $279m payroll.
If they add Bo or tucker, they will be charge another 60% on top of the 30% because they will exceed the threshold by $60m.This years Jays team could cost over $500m.
Something will have to give.
Berrios is out the door?Fakepartofme
ParticipantNice play by Knies on the matthews goal.
Based on the highlights, this looked like their best game of the season.
Fakepartofme
ParticipantNice win by the leafs.
Leafs back to being 3pts out of a playoff spot.Gonna be an up and down year….on pace for 92 pts – as of today.
Nuts, so much for a top 5 pick at the draft.
Alright, well…..a run to the playoffs it is.Or they could still leaf it.
Either way, good win.
Fakepartofme
ParticipantIf the Leafs don’t make the playoff this year, I hope their pick is in the teens. Don’t what Boston to have a good 1st round pick curtousy of the Leafs.
Normally I would agree.
But if memory serves me correctly, it is top 5 protected. So if they finish top 5 worse or their lottery ball gets moved up to top 5 they can keep their pick -
