They hit a grand slam with Michkov, so they get that on the plus side, it remains to be seen what happens with Luchanko.
While Michkov IMO was a no brainer/no thought pick, I really thought there was a chance they would pick Ryan Leonard.

Habs – BearThe Flyers seem to be in that Desnoyers, O’Brien, McQueen area of the draft. The first two are the safe picks IMO, McQueen is the swing for the fences. That back injury is a big concern, but if he is healthy…..
Maybe, because they have those 2 other firsts they take the big swing. We shall see.
As has been said by others, I don’t like long term deals for non superstar players, but this is the nature of the NHL. If Foerster develops into a perennial 35 goal player then it will be ok. Let’s hope that happens.
Because we can’t have nice things I fully expect them to drop to 6th while the Penguins get the #2 pick. It’s as inevitable as death and taxes.
