Onto the DeBrusk situation
https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1C2ojVNzhi/?mibextid=wwXIfr
I’m not surprised he’s still a Canuck. With 5/5.5 left on his contract there was no easy slam dunk trade to be had. On the surface I’ll assume 2 things Canucks are not willing to retain & DeBrusk offered a limited list of teams he would waive for. How limited I’ve no clue. He’s going to have to come to camp & be a pro & onto the season to up his own value to draw more interest or increase his list. It is a no lose situation for the Canucks it’s like he’s in his last year of a contract going to UFA to seek a suitor to pay him off. Je signed his contract with JR/PA & GMRJ isn’t obligated to move for him just to move him. He can & will wait it out for a deal makes both sides happy. There is the 3rd option but unlikely that Manny & the roster show real good signs early & DeBrusk cools his jets on leaving. That seems farfetched if the pom poms are put aside. Worst case scenario is he remains a Canuck til next offseason where more teams have cap space & needs to fill & DeBrusk has himself a good season to pump & dump himself. I’d hold out for 2-2nds or good prospect+ but ideally want a 1st.
Trigger warning don’t open Marwood
Just an article that might be worth shootin the shit over.
I like contract signing.
Right now as it sits I see them finishing in the top 5 in the league, possibly even top 2, for gayest line names in the league.
Name these other 4. TYIA
I cannot help this feeling Rossi is in for a big break out. After a tough season with an injury & later playing with a foot injury tells me something special is coming with a fresh start in his 1st full season as a Canuck. The BRO line showed real chemistry. Rossi puck possession control Boeser his triggerman & Ohgren doing the dirty work dogging the puck. My idea of good line dynamics. Rossi will need to bring a 200’ game Boeser do Boeser Ohgren play fast hard n hungry.

Sports radio is not cost justified. Listener ship sits between 1k to 10K for a very popular one. D&D on check TV is what you are going to see for the next while. You would need to have a sports talk podcast on Tik Tok or Twitch to make money on it. The hay day is long gone. This is why Sat Shah or Halford & Brough have not reappeared yet. Vancouver sports market is not strong at all.
I was not suggesting either radio or tv broadcasts. In house on any platform (free). My choices to be on the show are KB3, Jannik Hansen & a different 3rd ex Canuck each pregame. 30min long 1 hour before game time. Topics are an Abby update, pregame roster & a y topic du jour.
EP40 EP40 EP40…. every thread. lol
Yup he made an EP thread should stick to keeping it there. Must be 1 of 2 things. He believes we don’t remember his stance (daily) on EP or Alzheimers on his part.
If Elliotte & KB3 go to Amazon which is a possiblity, that would be a big loss for Sportsnet, those arrogant fucks.
Like him or not Rick Dhaliwal is BC’s #1 insider after Elliotte.
I hope VAN pulls off a couple of significant moves to add high picks and prospects, tough task.
BC could use it’s own new hockey show. KB3 cohosts a quasi hot stove Canucks & NHL pregame show.
You left out Debrusk. He is not going anywhere soon
EP40 got booed at the Whitecaps game. I think he will be happy to leave pretty soon.
It’s my projections only assuming DeBrusk is gone by the TDL.
My lines are for dynamics. EP gets Chytil as a play driver. Ohgren the digger for the BRO line. Raty his deserved shot as 3C with good compliments on the wing. 4th line endrgy & speed as well as a guess Safronov PK duties. Sasson platooning. Cootes in Abby & 1st call up. No otny my guess impress at camp & might see an auditikn for a few league games then back to the Petes. On D I expect Kudryatsev to stick if not running 3 tenders. Undersized but built like a tank & plays a quiet solid D & puck mover.
