Curious to see Raty. He had a good Worlds Tourney.
It’s easy to lose focus on Raty. Depth at C, strange to say that, looks to be quite competitive. Too many for not enough spots. EP/Rossi aside leaves Chytil Raty Safronov Sasson for 3 4. I do think Chytil can be a play driver winger. There is no safe position on the ice. Nice to see him get a break from injuries. I’d give Raty the snot at 3C make Sasson 4th line playoon winger luv his speed & head on his shoulders. Assume DeBrusk gone at some point for a pick(s).

SassonIn about 4 years Buium’s contact about 6-7% of the cap at most. Signed til 28yrs old leaves him 1 big contract. Plenty of other pieces to surround him from this draft & beyond. Going to need the vets to set the tone of this rebuild.

I never thought this would need explaining but when Canucks fans or any other Canadian team buy tickets they pay in Canadian dollars so when the team pays the players there is an exchange rate difference.
It has always been that way & the exchange rate has been fairly consistent. Also ticket prices for 🇨🇦 teams are not cheap giveaways like Florida teams & better attendance in 🇨🇦 cities even in the PO’s.

I don’t think the future is bright any longer for Canadian hockey. NHL is streaming more games and with the currency exchange difference and top players wanting to play in tax free states It does not look good for Canucks. I probably expect to see about forty games on TV this year instead of the full 82 plus.

I’m going to laugh my ass off when Quinn Hughes signs with the Panthers to be with his friends instead of his brothers in NJ. All along I’ve been wondering why in the world Quinn would go to NJ and ruin Luke’s career. Quinn would bump Luke off the top pairing and the #1 PP unit. A massive hit to his career stats and less to leverage in the following contract because of his career demotion. NJ makes little sense to me but people love a good narrative.
Afterall QH was born in Orlando Florida so not really all that farfetched of an idea. Besides NJ cannot get untracked nor suits QH’s wants to win unless all big bs.
