I think if we retain 50% on Trocheck, we’re looking at (2) 1sts plus prospects. That could be extremely appealing to playoff teams tight against the cap.

This site is bizzaro world. In this forum “wave the white flag” I’m logged in. I went to check the last forum/blog to see if anyone was still talking in there bc this one has been so quite after such a big announcement and it says I have to be logged in to post. Very strange.

I thought Schnieder was a true 2nd pair guy. I guess I don’t watch the Rags enough to judge….
My only favs on you team are Shesty and Trocheck, though I certainly don’t see them being traded.

He is, like most other young players he’s been given the worst of the worst to be paired with. I think Uro Vakkanienen could make Bobby Orr look bad.

Uro, Zac Jones etc are horrific partners to have.

My faith in Drury is 0. He’s the one that created this mess and I don’t trust him to be the one to fix it.

Trocheck at 50% retained (who cares about the cap if we’re rebuilding) could be a MONSTER return. (2) 1st round picks with a prospect or 2 wouldn’t be out of the question for him signed for multiple more years and at less than a $3 million cap hit.

I’d also look to retain on Mika if it drastically improved the return.

Drury just released a letter per a post I saw on Reddit. 😂

    Saying what?

I wonder what TJ’s excuse for why this team sucks is. Drury hasn’t done enough yet? 5 years in?

Anyone think if we had Kreider Trouba KK Goodrow instead of Carey Terrance, Urho Vakkaninen and Will Borgen we’d be in the position we’re in now? Asking for a friend ……….

Na, he’ll say some more players have to go and we just haven’t seen drurys full vision of this team after 5 years.
Also, we only have (1) 2nd round pick this year instead of the 2 we would’ve bc genius Drury signed Nemeth only to turn around and trade him ALONG WITH (2) 2nd round picks for future considerations just to get rid of him.

    But let’s not forget, he’s a genius

I feel like all we can continue to talk about is how Drury has royally screwed this organization but even I’m getting sick of talking about that. Disgusting what he’s turned this team into.

The goal going into the deadline should be to add as many picks and prospects as possible. Any roster player that can get something in a return should be traded. Currently we’d be at 9th in the draft but plenty of room for teams to jump us bc we have the most games played. A top 5 pick along with other 1sts would be ideal.

We’ve gone from a President trophy winner to a bottom feeder while Drury has been running the show. Enough is enough, it’s time for him to go.

    To respond to previous posts…

Except, Frederic hardly plays center. Hes taken a total of 94 faceoffs all year, by comparison… Laba has taken 358 faceoffs, thats already more faceoffs than Frederic has taken in any single season of his career. But I get it, this is one player you’ve been begging for for years.

I don’t care where he plays during a rebuild. He’d be a good addition to the bottom 6 on a team that would have young players on it.

Jan, in your opinion, do you think Drury will buy, sell, or a little of both.

I can definitely see this moron trading Panarin for let’s say a 1st 2nd prospect etc and then turning around and using that to get a guy like Sherwood.

Trade Panarin Trocheck ZiB (if we can) Laf Carrick (love the player, he’s the only one that gives a damn night in and night out, but I think we’d be pleasantly surprised at the return).

Trade FOR Trent Frederic. I think this is one we’d be able to acquire a mid round pick on top of the player. Make EDM eat around 1 million, give him a chance as the 3C. Also brings another physical presence in for a rebuild. Having a terrible year but only a few years removed from a 17 and 18 goal seasons. Still relatively young (turning 28 next month).

No need for a 28yo, just burn it down and start over, first thing is first, FIRE DRURY!!!

Like I told Tj, the Drury is a genius thing didnt age well, really fast. Hockey is a team sport where you need comradery and chemistry, Drury destroyed both and this thing just burned down.

Not about needing a 28 year old. He’s a good bottom 6 player that brings some grit/toughness to a team that will be rebuilding/developing young players. He’s definitely a guy that if he found his game we’d be able to flip him a few years down the line. Low cap hit, esp 4/5 years from now, who cares.
