Don’t forget Vakainenen and Parsinnen! ( Who Drury had to have) reports were Drury had been trying to get both of these guys for a while now!
Again Drury thinking he’s the smartest guy in the room.
Now it appears he’s overplayed his hand for Trocheck. ( we will see)
Anyone with his track record under any other owner would have been shown the door..But not us!
I have never seen a GM who has NEVER made a trade where we could actually say the Rangers did a great job there!
It’s criminal that he’s in charge of this ( re tool) it’s a rebuild ..but whatever. Dark days ahead.

Epic performance tonight.. Was I the only one watching that saw Lafreniere hit Merzlikins in the head on the disallowed goal?
Dave Maloney still is talking about the skate interfering. The fact that Albert and Dave went on for about 15 minutes about it not being goalie interference lol.
Drury should never be allowed to step foot in the Garden again. ( Taking a team that was a few bounces away from the SCF just 2 years ago and turning it into this mess..) I will say it again they won’t make playoffs for 5-8 years on the conservative side.

It’s even more frustrating that the Clown GM didn’t get a first rdr. Kings arent exactly a lock to make the playoffs. ( 3 pts out of Wildcard) Fiala is a huge loss. He drives to the net which Kempe and Panarin are more perimeter although Kempe is really solid everywhere. So yeah we had an opportunity but our General Mismanager frittered it away. I’m so sick of the way this organization does things. Haven’t seen an article yet saying the Panarin deal was good for the Rangers. But hey Panarin had him over a barrel. That Drury gave him access to.

Not sure..but the tone of the article seems like it’s been this way for many years.
Just another example where we think we are the smartest team in the room. But I see where Panarin incident certainly didn’t help matters.

On a side note.. It’s nice watching some fun competitive hockey. So far Slovakia is going toe to toe with Finland. 1-1 heading to 3rd.
Slovakia only with 5 NHL players.. Finland has 24.

Did anyone read the Hockey News article about how the Rangers mistreat their prospects? The organization basically puts a muzzle on prospects and is controlling of their players. In fact, Ken Campbell lead writer for THN had contacted OHL’s Windsor Spit Fires about the deal for Liam Greentree after the trade and appparently the Rangers have a gag order and forbid them from talking to the kid about the Panarin trade? Campbell said they are the only organization in the NHL that does this and control their prospects to a detriment.
Campbell said “ No wonder they are 3rd to last place in the league”.

The fact that Robertson and Caulfield are not on the team for the sullen JT Miller is a testament how the US mismanagement of their roster continues.
    Olympic Roster fodder:

    Jason Robertson 32g 66 points plus/minus 20

Cole Caulfield 32g 57 points plus minus 19

JT Miller 14g 37 points plus minus -22

Which one would u have selected? LOL

Yeah good point about JRob..although I believe Guerin has final say. Usually lots of cash tends to sway players. But I think there is too much stain on the last 2 years here. Players talk about that stuff all the time. Panarin chose LA because of what Gavrikov told him. Could you imagine what players are thinking when they see Drury on Team USA? Oh isn’t he the GM of the one of the most disappointing teams in the league and your team no longer competes especially at home? Having Sully there isn’t a good look either and forget Quinn 🙂 Just remember Drury drove the Hartford Wolf Pack into the abyss for 4 years before coming here.
I still can’t fathom Drury not asking for at least a second rd pick since we don’t have one for 2 years! You think Kings would have hung up the phone being on the cusp of acquiring the Rangers leading scorer last 7 seasons! Just seems like that’s something he should have inquired about. ( spoiler alert Kings are average even with Bread and don’t see them winning a round so forget about better compensation from that deal)

Anyone else in disbelief that clown is part of Team USA brain trust as assistant GM?
Almost feel a bit dirty rooting for USA with Quinn, Sully, ( he has already checked out) and Mr Incompetent leading the charge.

If your getting rid of Panarin and Tro .. what does it matter get rid of all of them. There is literally no skater that’s irreplaceable. Even though I like Cuylle and Laba.. Robertson has much improved too. Nobody is untouchable.

Ah Nemeth..the gift that keeps on giving. God Drury is the worst..
If you listen to JT after the game ..( my word is he disinterested. he has no answers for why this team is not playing well.. he’s looking forward to the Olympics after his “ I don’t know yeah I literally dont know” comments
on the teams performance. (Oh captain my captain) .. if that’s not inspirational.
Between Drury and JT man I’ve never been more confident that we are screwed for the foreseeable future.

Think it’s a given will be top 5. If it wasn’t for Quick it would be 5-0 now.At least they are playing hard against a top team in East.
Please get a haul for Trocheck. But I’m not holding my breath. Need to have at least 3 #1 and 2 top prospects before deadline. Already have the 2 #1 and one prospect. Not asking for much…

Unfortunately this is how I expect the games to go in the near future.
Without Panarin driving the play up the ice and the non existent transition game from our very slow and average D. Expect low scoring games. Hell they were putrid with him somehow.
Btw interesting Panarin now saying the Rangers never really offered him a new contract upon him speaking in LA. Belief is he wanted Kings or even go back to Russia. Not sure I believe that.

I was talking more of this current iteration of the team. But yeah I get it. Drury does seem to fire a lot of people yet keep his job.
Also interesting is the fact that the supposed mutiny on Drury last year started with Panarin ..involving Trouba, Kreider. Notice who are all gone. Guess we should brush up more on the amateurs and draft at least the next 3 years anyway. There’s no easy retool. Not with this group.

It was funny when the trade came through I kept refreshing the page to see what other pieces we got. I’m like must be our WI-FI conking out because I only see Greentree and a 3rd.

Ortmeyer , Tanner Glass..talk about world class skill. What could go wrong with them evaluating talent. I think that’s why fans don’t trust the organization, it’s like how many awful moves that completely backfire do you get? There is no accountability within the organization. Nobody loses their job ..hell Lafreniere gives the puck away every game softly skates back into the zone doesn’t pick up his guy and Boom it’s in the back of the net. What happens? NOTHiNG! Doesn’t miss a shift doesn’t get benched. It’s the Ranger way..

But do you trust Rangers management to do the right thing? They haven’t exactly instilled confidence in the fan base.
