I only watch highlights so far. But this Canada/Czechia game is nice hockey to watch!! I’ll have to try to catch more of the other countries.

    Thank you, sir!
It’ll be a long road. But, at least I’m on my way now.

On paper, Canada has the best team, incredible talent. Its up to team USA to make up goals because they left the better goal scores at home in favor of JT Miller and Trocheck. I love Trocheck but in this tournament, I want Caufield or JRob.

I feel like Troch is a player you want for so many situations. But, Miller over Robertson is nuts.

As for not being around, on top of being tired of the endless frustration from our team and the added frustration of this website, I just had my shoulder surgery yesterday. So, good chance I’ll be around more in the near future.

No lol. Would just be another black eye for drury.

That being said, he is useless as a Captain. What a terrible situation.

    Guys, don’t bother.
Of course it’s not the blind idiot that is wrong, it’s every other single person. On this thread or elsewhere.
If TJ had the capacity to understand what we are all saying, this would have been settled years ago.

We also apparently retained 50%… makes it even worse, despite the constraints lol

I didn’t see that anywhere. Has it just come out???

“The situation was Panarin only wanted LAK. The first would’ve made this feel good but we had no leverage. Drury could’ve waited I guess. I hate Drury but idk what else could’ve been done”

What could’ve been done is to not tell the whole world that you aren’t offering your trade asset a contract!!! Not to mention not even leaking that you are shopping him. Drury did ok given the circumstances, except that HE CREATED the circumstances!
All we can hope now is that they clean house in the Development department before Greentree gets here.

p.s. – in looking for Greentree’s stats I noticed that our 5th rounder, Aspinall, is leading the OHL with 67 points in 46 games!

I simply cannot understand how the (unqualified) player development department gets a pass when we have STRUGGLED to have any of our prospects progress into NHL talent.

Brukie, Mika and Miller hold all the cards. Either one has to agree to be moved. Mika might, but he has declined that ask at least twice already. Miller was just brought in and named captain less than a year ago. As much as I agree with you, they are probably staying.

No one will replace him. We are going to lose a lot over the next couple years.
Hopefully we can be reborn from the ashes. 🤷

You’re certainly right there. Sullivan is no different than any other long time coach.
I really feel that it’s because they always have to chase after the next 2 points to save their job, while the franchise needs to have a longer term outlook.

JT Miller passes like a beer leaguer. Just somewhere near the target, but seldom on the tape, or even the forehand.

I’ve lost track of whether it’s worse to trade a 1st, or a former 1st that we can’t develop. 🤔

I wonder what a package to jump ourselves into the top 3 or 5 at the draft looks like. Assuming we aren’t just picking there anyway (the bottom of the West is terrible!!).

    Not much to add.
Drury has not done a good job. Not sure I trust he’ll start now.
I wish now more than ever they had named Troch captain and we could move Miller instead. But, Vinnie will certainly bring a huge return.
