ParticipantRIP Larry.
I can’t say that read his columns more than a handful of times, but he was certainly a true professional.
The outpouring of respect I’ve been seeing is an obvious testament to that fact.Tonybere
ParticipantI, for one am tired of this process. We have been through the same ringer with more coaches than I can remember now, honestly. I don’t care if you’re paid to win the game on hand. It has been 7 and a half years since the letter and we are about the same level of NHL club as we were then. Play the kids and let them work through their issues!! The other way ain’t working.
Don’t get me wrong, I can get frustrated with them. I saw the mistakes by Othmann that Sullivan was talking about. But, every time one of these kids makes a mistake, he spends a week trying to get back into the line up. It’s insane. We had Sheary and Raddysh in the top 6 last game while actual offensive talent sits in Hartford being told they’re only worth about $70,000 a year.
I hope the baseball game goes late again, so I’m not tempted to turn to the game in Vancouver.Tonybere
ParticipantI saw that Chytil hit. A shame. A damn predictable, preventable shame.
I hope he’ll be ok.
It was probably not a late hit, by the book. But, unnecessary is a perfect way to describe it. Wilson wasn’t dirty, he was just an asshole.Tonybere
ParticipantI hear you, Rick.
Frustrating is not the adjective you want associated with your website.
Sometimes, you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.Tonybere
ParticipantIf there is, I’d love to know about it!!

ParticipantSo, not quite the community we cultivated here yet, eh?

ParticipantI find half the time I come to this site I’m “blocked” and can’t access it at all. Beyond that, this is the 1st time I’ve been able to comment in about a week. I log in and then by the time I try to post, I’m logged out.
Very frustrating just as we finally have things to talk about.Tonybere
ParticipantI honestly get more of a captain vibe from Trocheck, but not surprised or unhappy with the choice.

ParticipantJan,
This is anything but a complaint…
Would you mind trying to post a message telling of a new blog, please?
I took that for granted, over at the Platform That Shall Not Be Named, but I’ve found myself stopping in to see no new comments, and then just leaving without seeing you’ve posted.September 14, 2025 at 7:06 pm in reply to: Rangers Split Their Two-Game Series Against the Flyers’ Rookies #27523Tonybere
ParticipantWe’re getting close!!
Hoping most of the old crew will find their way here and we can be a community again by the season’s start! Maybe even with increased civility!! ????Tonybere
ParticipantWouldn’t that be a nice little bonus?!?
Tonybere
ParticipantYes, you are correct, as I understand it. But, I thought there was also a change to the way cap space is accrued and in that element, there is a change to how a team is able to take on contracts mid-season. I watched a video yesterday from The Hockey Guy and that was what I got from it. If we want to move Bread at the deadline, it’s the whole amount. I could be wrong, please speak up if I am!!
Tonybere
ParticipantAnother point I’ve been wanting to ask of the group, with the new CBA rules coming into effect now, am I understanding correctly that in order to move Panarin at the deadline, do we have to find a team to take on the entire $11.6M? That is the way the change was explained to me. Am I (hopefully) wrong???
