of course you go to the dumbest of extremes. A normal person would acknowledge hes been terrible and so far an awful bet at 42mil.

I dont care about how much rogers spends, never said anything about that. I care about getting value for the money they Jays spend.
but again you are not able to have a normal discussion you are the king of strawman arguments so you can keep the rage engaged. you love it

No, a normal person would acknowledge he played great with the Jays and they were a better team by keeping him while still adding other pieces to keep competing with the best.

Your bullshit argument about “value” means fucking nothing because moneyball isn’t going to win a World Series and Rogers isn’t going to give you the “savings”. The Dodgers didn’t say “we can only sign Tucker if we slash salary”. Bo provided plenty of value when he crushed a homer in Game 7 on one knee and over the long haul he will find his stride again. The price should not matter when it comes to talking about winning a World Series.

Im sure Bo will turn it around but he is still not worth $42m per.

“Worth” every penny because he helps you compete with the Dodgers. But I guess your dumbass doesn’t like actually winning a World Series. A participation award is good enough for you.

But not surprise the resident sexist pedo is still whining about it.

Going to start calling your dumbass Cole Tomas Allen. Both retarded and delusional.

Jays only have so much money to spend. For $43m, Jays were able to sign Oka, Cease and resign Daulton
They simply arent going to spend $285m to $300m every year. For now $265m is respectable.

Yes, boo hoo for Rogers. Can’t spend too much to win. Just let the Dodgers do it.

Hoffman had a pretty good playoffs….just one bad pitch.
But he’s been horrible this season and has now been moved to lower leverage situations which is good.

He was shit down the stretch last year too but you were probably too stupid to remember that.

The more I look into Chayka’s only run as GM, the worse it looks. If this guy is left unchecked, it could be a total disaster for the Leafs. Similar but worse than Dubas.

Chayka was hired in May of 2016 by the Coyotes at 26.

***2016 draft: Keller 7th overall and Chychrun 16th overall. Technically, he was the GM when they drafted in 2016 but who knows how much input he had on that draft.
2017 draft: Pierre-Olivier Joseph 23rd overall. 225 games, 46 points. He passed on Poehling, Oettinger, Frost, Jokiharju, Tolvanen, Hague and Boqvist. Not a huge bust but a bust.
2018 draft: Barett Hayton 5th overall. 358 games, 65 goals, 155 points. Also drafted Bahl in the 2nd round. He passed on Quinn Hughes, Bouchard, Dobson. Another bust draft.
2019 draft: Victor Soderstrom 11th overall. 61 games, 1 goal, 12 points. Passed on Boldy, Spencer Knight, Caufield, Newhook, Krebs, Harley and McMichael. Huge bust.
-He also drafted Maccelli in the 4th round. He has played 295 games with 51 goals and 169 points. A small victory figuratively and literally.
2020 draft: Did not have a 1st, 2nd or 3rd round pick. Combined games played of all the players drafted: 2.

Absolutely nothing about Chayka gives me any kind of confidence he is what the Leafs need from a drafting perspective. Worse than Dubas in drafting.

His list of trades are here: https://www.nhltradetracker.com/user/trade_list_by_GM/John_Chayka/291/1

    Some notable trades he made:

Acquired Taylor Hall for a 1st round pick, Nick Merkley, Nate Schnarr and a 3rd round pick. Terrible trade. A 35 game rental. 1st round pick became Dawson Mercer. Merkley was a bust but at the time was a former 1st round pick with same value and he blew it on a rental. Typical Leafs behavior.

Acquired Kessel and Birks for Galchenyuk and P.O. Joseph. Not a great trade considering Joseph was their 1st round pick just 2 years prior and Kessel was finished.

Acquired Nick Schmaltz for Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini. Not a terrible trade but Strome has outperformed Schmaltz overall despite taking a few years to reach that potential. Again, showing more and more examples of his willingness to trade his 1st round picks / top prospects.

Re-acquired Galchenyuk for Max Domi. Bust trade considering Domi scored 28 goals and 77 points immediately and is still in the NHL. Galchenyuk lasted 1 year in Arizona.

Acquired Kruger for Martinook. Not a good trade. Kruger never played a game in Arizona.

Acquired Kuemper for Wedgewood and Rieder. That’s probably a push.

Acquired Richard Panik and Laurent Dauphin for Anthony Duclair and Clendening. That’s a small loss.

    Re-acquired Wedgewood for a 5th round pick.

Acquired Derek Stepan and Antti Raanta for DeAngelo and a 1st round pick (7th overall). Mittelstadt, Rasmussen, Tippett, Vilardi, Necas, Suzuki…very bad pick to trade away.

Re-acquired DeAngelo for a 2nd round pick. It’s pretty strange how many times he brings back a guy he traded not long before.

Again, I don’t mind the advanced stats stuff but it needs results and this guy has very, very bad results. Arizona was so bad, for so long, they had to relocate to Utah. And their current success seems to have almost nothing to do with most of what Chayka did as GM. In fact, he made so many bad picks and trades, one could argue the team would have already been where it is today many years ago if it wasn’t for his destructive run as GM.

Leafs are about to make a very big fuck up with this guy. Hopefully it falls apart and doesn’t happen. This is Stellick x JFJ to the exponent Dubas levels of stupidity.

42 million for Bo for 73 ops+ so far, of course is being defended by you.
Imagine how much more winning the Jays would have with that.

4th in rbi lol. Can you imagine????

It’s too early to write off the Jays but Bo is now the worst player of all time.

Imagine caring about Rogers spending too much money?

This is the gravity that is called The Toronto Maple Leafs.
    players come and go.

That’s not gravity because the best guys are ejected out of orbit. It seems the wrong players go more often than not to the determent of the franchise. A cycle that seems to have repeated itself since Sittler.

Friedman, predicting a combination of Sundin and Chayka to run the Maple Leafs depending on Sundin’s decision.

I can feel some pain coming to Leafs Nation.

Sundin is totally unqualified to be the President. It’s literally a PR move to keep the pajama retard rangers happy. Since he retired, he’s basically been out of hockey which is about 17 years now. Not that he doesn’t understand hockey but his executive experience is literally zero. And his winning resume on the ice is only for Olympic hockey, not for Stanley Cups.

Chayka is a pure numbers guy, which is fine but without a legit great hockey mind around him, spreadsheets won’t win Cups by itself.

The Leafs have near unlimited resources to hire better people. These hires are as lackluster as Pelley himself. It will end poorly.

Hyman has 5 goals in 7 elimination games. Good thing the Leafs got rid of that guy.

Helps him see the ball and keep the bat in the zone a little longer.
Whatever he’s done, keep it going.

Bichette and mets having a rough go. lol

Mets absolutely suck and Bo would still be 3rd on the Jays in hits and 4th in RBI. He would probably have even better numbers in the Jays line-up. Was retarded to let him go regardless of price. A couple of injuries and the Jays couldn’t hit anymore. Having as many quality hitters as possible is how you build a World Series WINNER. You enjoy watching Toronto teams build LOSERS.

    RIP John “Cheech” Garrett

Very sad and sudden. He was a good one.
