ParticipantKreider would on pace for 57 pts and 31 goals this season if he played a full 82 games. The fact Drury traded that for a 3rd round pick is absolutely insane. The more I think about the position he’s put this franchise in the more aggravated I get he still has a job. And even firing him, the damage is done. He has destroyed this team for years to come.
What he does this off-season will determine whether he really has destroyed it. Hes gonna have a very high draft pick and some solid assets to work with.
As far as Kreider goes, despite the fact that Ive always been a bit of a Kreider hater, the fact that there was no market for Kreider and he settled for what he got was definitely a massive blunder. Again, this stemmed off of him opening his mouth about changes and all.
There was no rush to trade CK20 or Trouba or Goodrow, he just wanted to trade them and got nothing in return. Thats an idiot. What does Drury have to work with? What assets? An under performing Laffy and Schneider? One player isnt going to fix this team, if that was the case, Panarin would have be able to fix the team himself. Unless Miller, Mika and Fox waive, the Rangers dont have anything of value.

ParticipantI was thinking about this whole RFA thing, and thought about how the whole Marner thing went down last off-season. Maybe Drury has something up his sleeve.
First move. What if we trade a cost controlled, low AAV 2C to Vegas, who needs all the help they can get to stay under the cap for Dorofeyev? Straight up. Hes due a massive raise, one that the Knights cant afford. Trocheck <> Dorofeyev
Second move. Trading Panarin to the Stars for Robo made no sense for Dallas. However, what if we trade Greentree to Dallas for Robo? Dallas has some cap space, but can they afford to pay another guy 14 million? Thats pretty much all the cap space they have for next year.
So now, when you look at the overall situation. Rather than trading Trocheck for a 1st, 3rd and a prospect, we get Dorofeyev, a 30+ goal scorer. Despite the controversy surrounding the initial return, the end game turns Panarin > Greentree > Robo. Another 30+ goal scorer.
Just messing with an idea.
This is inline with a TJ trade idea. Would you do those trade if it was reversed? Nobody in the world would trade a bonafide star for a prospect. There will be so much more needed there. Why would Vegas trade a 25yo 30+ goal scorer for a 33yo 50 point player? Trocheck was never a second line center, he is a 3rd line center. Vegas always finds a way. to make it work.
Drury has nothing up his sleeve nor in his head.

ParticipantGonchars nephew having quite a year in OHL. Needs to put on like 25 lbs though.
Anyone been following Fortescue and Emery? They had a little bit of hype behind them, hows that looking?
Been checking out all these unsigned prospects. The Wolfpack might be getting a serious influx of kids next year. Greentree, Lamb, Fortescue, Aspinal, maybe Gonchar, maybe Battaglia, possibly whoever we draft this year with our 1st round picks.

ParticipantI talked about Belchetz about a month ago, I’d love to get that kid
Gonna be quite the dilemma if they have to decide between Malhotra or Belchetz. We really have nothing in the pipeline center wise.
