FB doesnt seem to be working atm.
Too early to tell. There are still preseason games and practices to see if he’s ahead enough for Abby.
Maybe a couple of games with the club and back to the OHL, then WJC, finish the season with the Petes and play a few more games with the Canucks and perhaps going to the Worlds after that. That’s still a lot of quality development time.
Preseason game full of AHLers & prospects no point reading a lot into it. Only had a few days of training camp to begin with. Patience to real hockey starts & in Abby.
My take was Mancini looked bad along with plenty of disjointed play all game. Out skated & out worked. Wasn’t surprised given not much practice time & very early on learning systems. The PK once again shit the bed but that’s good for the tank lol.
My time would have been better spent watching Pornhub instead of that uninspired/lazy display of hockey.
To be honest, I wish this was EA Sports in GM mode and I could just sim the season and get right back to drafting.
Lekkermakki looked less than impressive last night. I know he got two gratuitous assists last night and it was only day 1 but he looked two steps behind last night and weak on puck battles. Mind you I only had seen the last 15 minutes of the game
Last 15 min was prob the best of his game. He was terrible.
Let’s see just how long this leash will be for him. Just play the shit out of him I guess.
Cootes and Baines stepped up in the 3rd. Nice to see. What a rocket by Cootes. Lekker was with them so he got a couple of A’s but he was also a train wreck at times.
My money is on them grabbing a young goalie that is a upgrade on Tolopilo. He’s been ok but with Demko out, they are thin. Tolo will make it through waivers if they push him during the big AHL traffic jam. If not, they still upgraded.
This would also open up the possibility of trading Lankinen if Demko comes back and stays healthy… or trade Demko in the TDL/Summer.
Obviously on the expectations but almost none of these guys will be in the line up anyways. Sasson, Raty, Tolipilo, Banes, DPetey… those guys are playing better than most in this game. Lekker and Mancini asking to be cut early.
Trey Fix Wolanski looks like he could easily bump Cotter out of the picture.
Mancini looking the same… poor passing, lots of give aways, penalty and a goal against because of the poor play.
