ParticipantGuys, give it up. Even if Tavares was playing for free, him scoring goals and points but being defensively useless is why this team is losing games 5-4 and will never succeed in the playoffs.
Tavares is Sundin all over again. Not an elite player. Not an MVP. Not a Cup winner. Home town kid who keeps the sheep in their pajamas happy. But he’s not bringing this team a Cup with the way he plays overall.
And that’s the problem with this franchise and you fan boys. You guys worship him like he’s won something for this team and he’s still going strong. He’s not Crosby. He’s done nothing but pad his career stats.

Participant“Sources say the team has reached out to former Leaf T.J. Brennan and have also inquired about the health of former Canadiens star P.K Subban.”

ParticipantNo, I don’t think this is a playoff team, CC.
you are not replying to OG CC
“I am he as you are he, as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I’m crying.”Has AA ever explained his very weird impersonation thing?

ParticipantDomi playing on the 4th line is Berube making a mistake. They’ve already spent money on failed top-six forward experiments.
Domi stays.
Ok, Berube is making a mistake but Max is still a $3.75M guy on the 4th line.
So you don’t think they should add a top six forward? You want to go into the playoffs with the top six there now? If they do ignore you and add a guy, McMann likely comes down to the third and someone (Roy or Joshua) moves to the 4th.
I like Domi but I just don’t see the fit, especially at that cap hit.

ParticipantBye bye Kampf
Will he leave $3M on the table and walk away from all that COIN?
man TSN is becoming really bad for Hockey news in general.
can’t rely on TSN for Hockey news and that’s a shame on them.If they terminate his contract he becomes a FA and he has a better chance of landing something with another team or going to Europe. It’s only $2M. His base salary is just over $1M
CanadaCup
ParticipantNow pleases do Domi and Jarnkrok.
Domi can stay. One of the few who steps up in the playoffs.
They need a top six forward more than they need Max at $3.75M playing on the 4th line.

Participantthat was unexpected, but a great start to the offseason. I guess it shows how close the team was, give it another try, why not.
Curious on Bo, sounds like be wants to stay also. Move to 2b would be perfect.I just dont want to overpay Bo too much, hes great when healthy most of the time…but hes often injured and is pretty meh on defense.
I hope they go after Tucker for the field, trade Santander, and get another quality starter and shut down closer.
Keep bassitt as a 6th starter and RP.[/quote]Bo is likely to be in the $175-200 range. Add another bat to Bo, Vlad and Springer and you’ve got the start of a dominant batting order especially if Barger/Clement continue to develop. Rogers will want to build on what they got this year. “Overpaying” him by $10M or so is less of a problem than taking a step back especially given recent history of coming in second when going after big FA signings.

Participantseriously, this shit stain is in here now trying to find more people to argue with. I never saw him post once all season about the Jays, now hes here as some fucking expert.
But thats his schtick, not getting enough rage engagement elsewhere so has to expand and go find it.anyways, Great season from the Jays. I have no need to dissect every detail of what went wrong in gm7 or gm6.
the worst part is, its over and I have to think about the Leafs nowNice move by Bieber. Interesting to see how aggressive Rogers gets this offseason

ParticipantNot too many idiots saying “we don’t need you” to Ohtani anymore.
No different than booing great opposing players the way that guys like Judge get booed. Plus he’s like the hot girl who dumped you.
And no, the Dodgers didn’t win because of him. The Dodgers won because of a million little things and because they have amazing starting pitchers and an incredible lineup.
Ohtani didn’t beat them but the Jays would have won if they had him just like they would have won if they had Freeman or Smith or Yamamoto or Snell.

ParticipantThis team plays for 10 minutes out of 60 and gets away with it. This shit won’t work in the playoffs.
Yeah, I’m pissed too
CanadaCup
ParticipantAnyone else paying attention to 3I/ATLAS? Pretty cool.
Where’s Drexell?
My God, you’re an idiot

ParticipantBig save by Tony the MVP
