ParticipantLooks like Blais made it through waivers.
Nope. Claimed by the Canadiens

ParticipantNice to see a goalie steal a game.

ParticipantJays sign Dylan Cease to a 7 year $210 deal.
A little high, but hes a good top end pitcher.Fakepartofme
ParticipantIf Marner wanted to leave, he would have been playing for the Hurricanes. It was only after the retards in management and the retards in the fanbase, such as yourself, forced him to move on.
Are Vegas fans sitting dead last in their conference and 5th worst in the league? Those Vegas fans seem to be as clueless as the retards who ran him out of Toronto. They’ll learn the hard way, as they always do.
Wrong. Again. Marner wanted to leave but didnt want to be traded. Wanted to control of his destination and wasnt going to accept a mid season trade.
No one forced anything. Its pretty common knowledge that he was interested in vegas mid season.
Fans didnt run anyone out of town…the player left of his own free will. Get over it, stop whining all the time.Fakepartofme
ParticipantTre is garbage. Dubas was pretty bad too. I’ve been saying this the whole time. The Leafs could’ve done so well with Matthews/Marner if they surrounded them properly. If they identified the culture issue early on instead of pretending they’ll change, or it’s not bad because the fans like him (Nylander) then the Leafs had crazy potential.
Keep Kadri
Trade Nylander
Keep Hyman
Trade Rielly
Keep Marchment/Verhaghe etc..
Freddy didn’t need to go (he’s slowing down now)
Now Minten is gonna be good.Honestly, just surround Matthews/Marner with Canadians who play physical and are defensively sound. Also, you need a goon.
Tre is garbage.
Marner and matthews were part of the culture issue. Specially in the playoffs when marner would whine and fold after game 4.
Keeping kadri wasnt the solution, he’d be suspended every playoffs
Freddy needed to go, he choked too often.
Should have kept Marchment, I agree.
Trading Nylander, the one player who showed up consistently in the playoffs and has improved almost year over year the past 3-4 years, is as expected and AA braindead move.Fakepartofme
ParticipantIn hindsight, the Carlo and Laughton trades hurt. But Tre was trying to do what he could to push the Leafs over the top, and that comes at a cost. The Leafs almost beat the eventual cup winners, after losing their #1 goalie in game 1. Granted, they got butt fucked in games 5 and 7, but that’s what the Panthers do, grind you down over a long series. The Panthers kicked the shit out of every other team they played last year, the Leafs were the only team to take them to 7.
Carlo was solid last year, but fell off a cliff this year. Hopefully, he can turn it around.
Laughton was terrible last year, but is playing much better this year. Hopefully, he can keep it up.
“In hindsight”? The laughton trade was terrible from the get go and absolutely desperation move and huge overpayment.
Same with the carlo one, didnt need to include a high end prospect.
Both moves could be disastrous for the leafs.Fakepartofme
ParticipantAbout to see what matthews is made of.
If needs to come back and carry this team for the next little while, prove that he doesnt need marner to be a dominant player.Fakepartofme
ParticipantUnfortunately even if they try to bail on season (which they wont), they will still fail and finish with their pick in the 6- 14 range
Now this is the definition of Leafs Love… they’ll fail at failing 😂
LOL
Its more definition of the leafs organization. They simply cannot seem to get their shit together or do what is required of them. Those 1st rounders should have never been traded last year.
Fire Tre.But its still early, they could still sneak into the playoffs.
Either way. Fire Tre!
Fakepartofme
Participant22 games into the season, the Leafs are in the bottom 5 of the League. just bail on this season, get that top 5 pick.
nothing about their numbers look great. no point trying to fix things nowUnfortunately even if they try to bail on season (which they wont), they will still fail and finish with their pick in the 6- 14 range

ParticipantThe club was a shiny new thing that gave Toronto sports fans hope. Once the lustre started wearing off, and we became frustrated by the cracks in the pavement (Carnival iykyk), it was over. Then the writing on the wall with Marner leaving, it’s was over. Shakespearean tragedy mixed with an Adam Sandler comedy. Neither are my thing. I don’t understand how anyone would stick around for another rebuild.
And yet….Im sure two or three of your alts will be here for it.
Fakepartofme
ParticipantApparently the leafs have traded away 40 draft picks including 7 first rounders since Matthews got here.
Not a way to build a team.
So much for using marners money to build depth.
Trade away players, get picks and finish in the bottom 5 this year. This team has needed a step back season for years.
Trade Laughton for what he should have been acquired for. A 3rdFakepartofme
ParticipantRemember when it was all shanahans fault?
Hes laughing now
Fakepartofme
ParticipantLook at the Flames and Leafs.
Dubas > Tre
Both are garbage.
Dubas needed to be fired and so does treFakepartofme
ParticipantThis is what matters.
Marner is a complete player. He brought structure to the Leafs.
Funny how the Leafs have guys racking up a ton of pts now that he’s gone, but are obviously a train wreck of a team.
Maybe there’s more to being a good hockey team than just a few guys getting their cookies? Hmm?
Anyhow. The coping and seething is off the charts now that Mitch moved on and Vegas is having success, while the Leafs are an embarrassment. Funny watching some of you still try to defend Willy, like it was the right choice keeping him hahaha.
Cope on, my little Muchachos..
Ummm vegas is a WHOLE 5 pts ahead of the leafs. So 5pts is what defines success and embarrassment?
Marner chosed to leave…..he chose to leave you….he didnt like you. Marner CHOSE to leave his hometown team….couldnt cut it when it counts.
Fun in the regular season, disappeared in games 5 -7.Fakepartofme
ParticipantDidn’t Marner leave because he has a young wife a baby who he believed were at risk in Toronto? So much so he hired private security too.
Can’t blame the guy putting the safety of his family first.Thats not why he left. Gimme a break.
