Can anyone see the image I posted above? I can’t seem to post images here at all regardless of if I try it on my phone or pc.If not I got banned too.
For posting this: Ek posting a Mc Jesus to LA rumour the day after the Oilers lose in the cup finals seems a bit cruel.
Banned until Sept 16th lmao.
That was a joke that clearly someone didn’t find funny….how sad.
WTF…you got banned for that?
I swear, someone made AA a mod and he’s drunk with power. LOL
But honestly, I was going to call out that rumour as well with roll eyes emoji or something like that….but I thought I would get banned. But instead I got banned for “Frank Maurice.”Fakepartofme

Florida traded their 1st and 2nd round pick capital for Marchand and Seth Jones. That’s what your top picks are actually supposed to get you in return. Not a bunch of garbage rentals or spare parts for 10 years of trash.Cool. Lucky for florida those two players mentioned only wanted to go to florida…..the leafs werent on their list. But we know that wont be included in your whining.
Also, florida was $18 – $20m over the cap, so for those who go on about how amazing they were…..well ya….they were about $18 – $20 over the cap.But the leafs have wasted most of the 1st rounders….the laughton deal was horrible

That why the Leafs get some of their player(s) into commercials. Those bullshit commercials don’t pay nearly what people think they do. And again, 55% of it is taken away.
Nashville is a nice place for tax evasion since that state has no state income tax.
Utah, Florida, Tampa, Nashville, Dallas, Vegas…lots of great options for players. Don’t blame them one bit for leaving because it’s by far, way better to live in all those places too.
Paying lower taxes doesnt make a city a “better” place to live. It simply makes it better on the paycheck.
Keep taxing millionaires!!!

Enjoy watching this, 2.0.Watching what?
Marner becoming a second/third liner on another team and riding the goat tails of actual playoff performers to a cup victory? No team close in the hunt for cup will sign marner to the contract he wants. If he wants $13 – 14m, he’ll sign with team thats still 3 – 4 years out.
Marner is gone.
Get over it.Fakepartofme
ParticipantI just got banned at HB until August 1st because I said.
“Lets get these garbage playoffs over with.
Frank Paul Maurice”WTF.

What the leafs do in the next couple of years will be interesting… after that it’s going to truly influence Matthews wanting to resign in Toronto or not, especially after Marner truly setting the “all-star walking as a free agent” acceptance this year.At this point why would the leafs want him back for even more money?
Im kinda tired of seeing him in a leafs jersey anyway, unless he leads this team to a cup in the next 4 years, Im perfectly fine with him leaving.Fakepartofme

McDavid only 1 (meaningless) goal in the series. At least the 1 goal that Marner and Matthews scored were GWGs.And the Leafs took them to Game 7.
But definitely blow up the team.
That’s gonna work wonders.
Mitch is gone, quite your whining. He is choosing to leave
Oh and the below has been posted many times before…but its worth a look again
From cush
The Core Four in Games 5, 6, and 7 from 2019-2025Nylander – 20 Games Played, 8 Goals, and 8 Assists
Matthews – 18 Games Played, 8 Goals and 4 Assists
Tavares – 17 Games Played, 5 Goals and 5 Assists
Marner – 20 Games Played, 0 Goals, and 7 Assists7 assists. GARBAGE.
In fact, for the amount of money being spent on all four….they’re all garbage results. Specially MArner and Matthews. Simply arent playoff warriors.Fakepartofme

ParticipantThe leafs have found a rareish unicorn type player in Knies. power forward. 30 goal scorer (well 29)
but Florida didnt draft Bennett or Marchard. they just plugged them into a good team. Leafs can do the same
This site is working again…ok.
Except Marchand was inserted into the 3rd line of a well oiled machine…..the leafs arent well oiled…..and he’ll probably playing too high up in the line up….which has been a problem with the leafs for years.Fakepartofme
ParticipantMarner has the misfortune of having to pay taxes in Canada. That means he will take home significantly less money than his cap hit will suggest he makes. The NHL has no will to change it any time soon either.
Rantanen makes 12 AAV in Dallas which means he actually takes home 7,601,813. For Marner to make the exact same amount, he’d have to have a cap hit of 16.4 AAV to take home 7,664,895. Everybody needs to stop and think about that for a second. That’s how bad the taxes fuck over the Leafs trying to sign players who negotiate based on what they’re taking home. So if Marner is asking for 13 AAV, in reality he is only taking home 6,084,445 for 8 years and a total of 48.6 million dollars. When compared to the 7,601,813 per year Rantanen takes home, it’s actually fair value. The fair compromise for both sides is 13.16 x 8 and Marner is actually taking a discount just nobody is realizing it.
If Utah were to give him 13 AAV, he would take home 7,640,313 per year for 7 years which totals 53.4 million dollars.
In Vegas (an immediate Cup contender), he would take home 8,231,813 for 7 years totals 57.6 million dollars.
Which means, if Utah or Vegas offered him 11 AAV, he’d still make more money, with a lower cap hit, playing for Utah or Vegas than he would for the Leafs at 13 million AAV.This IS NOT a matter of greed. Marner could be leaving anywhere between 5-10 million dollars on the table to play for the Leafs at that price. He’s not negotiating for nickels and dimes in difference
UGWAAAAAAAAN. Millionaires being taxed….someone get uggie a tissue.
Good he’s taxed and it is about greed. There are ways around getting taxed that much, plus all the extra sponsorship he would get….or has. Also, $6.1 yankee is $8.35 CDN and he lives in Toronto so his money would go alot further.
Until the NHL does some sort of equalization (which they wont) this what we are stuck with. If you want to be a Maple Leafs and have a chance to become a revered for decades (if you win) post career then the one sacrifice you have to make…..earn a little less.Fakepartofme

We don’t know who does and who doesn’t and who is going to stay where they are and so on.
Bennett and Marchand both grew up Leaf fans and Bennett is from Holland’s Landing. He expressed interest in coming here before. Marchand’s requirement is to be in the east and play for a contender. Both of these guys fit in that bill. Would they come here? No one knows, but the opportunity at least exists.
Brandon Tanev has publicly said that wants to finish his career playing alongside his brother. Now would be a pretty good time to consider that.
There are players out there that would remake the bottom-6 on this team significantly better than it is. Kampf, Jarnkrok, Robertson and Holmberg would all go; Reaves would ride the bus with the Marlies. McMann, Lorentz and Laughton could stay. Right now I have penciled in Knies at $7.5 and Tavares at $5.5 and that leaves you with $18.5m. Bennett, Marchand, Tanev, any of Suter, Bjugstad or Faksa (particularly Faksa, because I liked how he played in this year’s playoffs at any rate).Depending on contracts – assuming around 8 for Bennett, 4.5 for Marchand and then 2 and 2.5 for Tanev and Faksa, you have a bit of wiggle room sitting there for 13th F and 7th D as needed – Cowan, Quillan, Steeves (if he resigns), or someone else – and guys like Myers, Danford or Webber could slot in the the 7 spot.
When you move outside of the Bennett and Marchand type players in this year’s crop I don’t see a lot that “changes the DNA” – Duchene, Ehlers, Boeser, Giroux, Mangiapane, Kane – good players, but older to old – and not really carrying the reputation of being hard to play against.
So maybe this year isnt the off season the leafs sign long term deals….sign short term/1 year deals if possible, with talented enough players to get you into the playoffs. Then put more money into next years off season. Better players it seems.
But Im not sure Marchand will be as affective here as he is in Florida. In florida hes on the 3rd line….here, he will mostly like be used on 2nd.
If bennett would sign for $8m per….sure….but I think for Toronto its closer to $10 per…..not interested in thatFakepartofme
