They sign matching $15M contracts, and share the C:-)

i just meant how much he signs for, if he signs a deal for say 17m, does AM get more a year later.

    but I like your thinking

You have to wonder if this is going to make it harder for the Leafs to re-sign Matthews once his current contract is up. This new CBA will literally cost Matthews millions out of pocket.

what will the cap be in 2028? around 120 mil?

If AM signed for the same cap % as his current deal, that would be 16.68m
so call it 17, would he sign for that?

guess it depends what Mcdavid does

Is that only for contracts moving forward? Matthews’ bonuses after the new cap kicks in are at 77% and 70% for the last two years of his contract.

yes contracts signed under the new cba

And of course the league will never do anything help northern teams (except pittsburgh), for sure its all about the southern teams…need new fans.

Gavin Mckenna to the Pens is pretty easy to see 😉

    Mario > Sid > Gavin

in the new CBA the signing bonus is now capped at 60% – Signing bonuses will be capped at 60 percent of the full player’s salary
so a little advantage the Leafs had they are looking at as a problem…naturally

also Jays giving 2015 vibes, but also how is that 10 years ago

NHL agent Allan Walsh says he projects the salary cap to be around $120M for 2027-2028.

That’s an increase of about $25M on the current cap ($95.5M).

If true, getting players locked in to long-term contracts (6+ years) now will give teams a major advantage.

    Plenty of room for Kadri.

    that would be wild

its super annoyinng the cap went up 4 mil from 2019-2024 while the Leafs got core 4’d by the cap

Yeah, buggy: got an “Error: Your reply cannot be created at this time.” with the same text as above, but probably nested quotes which it doesn’t handle well.

i delete the first post from a quote reply if there are multiple. seems to work fine that way
    leaving it is messy

It is a tad buggy. I always wish the formatting was better: tighter columns, more contrast between quotes and replies, fonts in general I’m not a fan of.

totally, wish it was easier to tell at a quick glance what was the reply and the quote.

stuff seems to be working for me.
didnt think I miss the HB layout
oh and all 3 of my HB accounts are now banned 🙂

I would welcome Kadri back. but age and contract are concerning. As long as it leaves enough room for the 2026 UFAs

Its going to be a slow summer I think. Best to get on the Jays bandwagon now

Yup, Maccelli is going to drive the parade float himself when they sweep 16 straight to win the Cup.

Well technically they got Micelli, Roy and 7.6 mil cap space left for what Marner would take up in your fantasy world

He’s been on the Selke voting list 7 years in a row. He finished 3rd two years ago, 7th this year.

Also averaged 100 points per 82 games 5 years in a row.

wow, hang the “finished 3rd two years ago, 7th this year” banners to go with your, Won 1 round again and played 7 games against the Panthers awards
