Any normal person would select Boldy but the bunions on my toes are tingling and saying wait for these next two years to go by and see if you still feel the same. I have a wild hunch that one day Podz will score the cup winning goal.

I know this won’t be a shock to anyone but I would still draft Podz over those guys. Podz just turned 25 and is getting better and better every year. He was horribly handled in his development years and now playing with two of the 5 best forwards in the world. I think when Hughes leaves Minny Boldy will drop back to a 25 goal scorer and have no chance at the cup. I can see Edmonton winning a cup and Podz having some very important goals on the run.
Like you said his work ethic is undeniable. I only wish the best for the kid.
Sorry I’ll still take Boldy and 25 goals. Benning fucked that pick up. He’s a decent player just not a top ten draft pick, there were better options available. He’s a Paul Cotter type.
Sorry guys but I am still a Podz fan and glad to see him get two tonight I hope he scores forty and good on the Canucks. Two games in a row played with some emotion.
I figured you’d be gloating, lol. One thing about Pod is he’s always been a hard worker, just not worthy of his high pick status. Superscout Benning should have taken Matthew Boldy, Peyton Krebs or Thomas Harley.
Tyson Jost earned a 1 year/2way deal on a PTO. He’d be a good cheap replacement for Chytil.
Don’t forget they have Henrik in the booth if they become desperate. (Sarcasm)
You don’t want to rush Cootes. I guess there weren’t any suitable C’s available in waivers? Then you look at the trade market or stand pat.

I thought they would have picked up another C, can’t depend on Chytil. Too bad he’s a talented player, just can’t handle the game.
Mancini has been a disapointment along with Chytil who came over from the NYR in the JTM trade. The first flipped for Marcus Pettersson who ironically was traded to NY for a 2030 first-round draft pick (top-10 protected). Like JTM or not that trade was another clear loss by the Canucks. Make no wonder they are the worst team in the NHL.
If it goes on Longer it may be time ti Carey Price Demko. Not worth 10 good games a year only.
