Listening to chgo Blackhawks podcast, sounds like Connor Bedard is indeed noticeably faster and much better on his edges, maybe he plays tomorrow?

    Thx for the intel.

They also said Reichel looks good and they feel like Moore is being given every chance to win a roster spot. He admits every time he thinks who is that it ends up being Moore

Dots, Bedard has to add some explosion in his first step. The league has been on to him for awhile. They let him enter and just front him above the circles knowing he can’t beat an NHL Dman so he checks up and deals with back checkers and coughs……….. If he can add some explosion in his feet it’ll allow him to get a step on those Dmen and access the high danger area.

    He’s gotta add some jump.

According to the guys he did, that’s what I’m trying to tell you Rico. I believe that’s the reason he didn’t join the worlds after the season was over

BTW, Kantserov with a goal in Magnitogorsk’s 5-4 win. He has 3G and 3A in their last five games after being held scoreless in the first two.

It would be nice if he signs here next year. Maybe he’ll play a while at Rockford to get used to the smaller sheet of ice and become a contributor later next season, or more likely the 27-28 season. By that time, assuming Frondell, Moore, Greene, Lardis, Vanacker, and Boisvert are on the team or close to making it, and along with Bedard and Nazar, the top nine should be pretty well established.

Looks like we are going to run into the same problem that we are going to have with our dmen, not enough roster spots for all of them?

Depth and more depth and more depth, love it, and that’s why i love the salary cap going up boiler. Everyone gets caught up in lines and centers and so on, all i want is my 19 players to be better than their 19 players and that’s what the Blackhawks are building

I’m curious to see what becomes of Moore, probably just training camp fodder but they are talking about how his shot looks better already after working on it over the summer.

Moore, Dach, Reichel or Mikh 3rd line may actually be a difficult line to play against and produce some points and take pressure off of the top 2 lines.

I bet the Leafs regret trading their 1st round draft pick to us to get Mrazek off the books.

That’s why i appreciate KDs approach of not rushing the rebuild like the Leafs did.

There are more legitimate #1 centers in the league than legitimate #1 RD’s, so I’m going to respectfully disagree. Look at the Leafs, they have Matthews as a #1 center, who’s their #1 RD? Let me say this, they are both very important positions on a hockey team, however as much as I like McTavish, he’s not a #1 center. The Hawks are in an envious position to have possibly two legitimate #1 RD’s, I would run with them for the next ten years.

Riddle me this, Batman…would the Queafs trade Matthews for a #1 RD?

Not after losing Marner to Free agency. The Leafs are trapped in what to do next, the window is beginning to close for that as quickly as it opened

I wouldn’t of traded either RDman for Marner either and have to pay him all that money

Then you have whatever combination of Dickinson, Mikh, Foligno, Slaggert, Greene.

All of a sudden we have actual depth and guys you can bounce up and down the line up.

It’ll be interesting to see how the bottom 2 lines develop.

Would it not be great if they form a 2B line in Moore, Reichel and Dach.

Many say the Blackhawks need someone to play with Bedard, i feel that if the Nazar line and maybe as time goes on the Moore line can produce points and be difficult to keep off the score sheet that will only open things up for Bedard and his line.

It’s a relief, don’t get me wrong i care for all of them but it’s about damn time i don’t have to care and provide for someone else
