Wow, Drury put the for sale sign out there for the world to see and of course got fleeced!!! All I am reading about is how 1st round picks are flying around and Panarin only got a prospect????

Tell the world Trocheck is being traded and hold him out, only to have him NOT get traded??? What a dummy!!!

    FIRE DRURY!!!!

Where is Tj, I really want to ask him if Drury is still his guy or what??

Ha, Nick Foligno to the Wild will take them out on Trocheck. Way to go CLOWN Drury!!! So basically anyone bidding on Trocheck will be bidding against themselves!!!

I read an article where Emily Kaplan was saying drury backed himself into a corner with a lot of these trades and gms not willing to overpay because he showed what he was doing. Said he made a tough situation for himself

This is Drury the genius at work here, announces to the world that we are retooling the roster, trades the team leading scorer for a prospect and a 4th liner for a 3rd rounder and then holds pat?? What an idiot!!! Yeah he planned ahead!!

Just goes back to what most of us have been saying .. Drury sucks as President and GM.
I don’t care that Greentree is a solid prospect. ( he’s playing the OHL which is a highly offensive league)
So yes when Panarin a 5x 30 goal scorer and 49 goal scorer doesn’t fetch a second rd pick but Nicolas Roy gets a first???
Yeah makes me think Drury is a clown.
Panarin had the most points of players that have been traded thus far.
What a good GM should have done is said so you’re going to deny your fan base a chance to watch Artemi Panarin this season playing with Kempe and Kopitar over a second rd pick or god forbid a first rd pick? How about calling Hollands bluff? He has no negotiating skills whatsoever..he has been so heavy handed as our General Mismanager. He’s basically alienated half the team going back to last year. Yet the one who created this disaster is in charge of (retooling ) this tire fire? Just doesn’t seem right..

As far as the site, yeah it’s definitely hit or miss. You do have to login multiple times but once you see your logged in you can just hit submit and it posts.

I agree with you on this but Panarin did have leverage but you mean to tell me you couldnt get Panarin to go to any other team within the 4k miles of the 2 coasts?? Drury over played his hand with the “Letter”

What a dummy, we will be in hockey purgatory for 5-8 years!!

I hate this team, they cant even get it right. I cheer for them to win, they lose, I cheer for them to lose, they win.

I gotta say, EK is an idiot!!!

He reported that Buffalo GM Kevyn Adams traded for Colton Parayko.

    Talk about being stupid.

Regarding Panarin.. we all know he totally misread the room which Drury is apt to do. Like I mentioned prior yeah Panarin had the Rangers over a barrel with the NMC.. only wanting to go to LA etc. Didn’t stop the Flyers from receiving a first and 3rd and Owen Tippet for Giroux. He had the sane parameter in the deal only wanting to go Florida and was a UFA. That is what the return should have been. But then announcing to the league that Panarin is available and we are not resigning him took all the leverage away.
Drury sat Panarin which made the situation untenable. Having to get rid him for 10 cents on the dollar. Not having a second round pick and not demanding a second rounder in return from LA just shows how clueless this guy is with asset management.
As for The K’Andre deal..You’re getting a pick at the end of the first rd and Morrow really struggles in his own end as you mentioned ( He’s young so hopefully he will improve, time will tell)
Waiting for Rangers trades with this guy at the helm is torture.
Trocheck, Schneider , Carrick maybe JBrodz should definitely be dealt ..but it’s scary thinking of the return?
Btw non Ranger related ..How did the Pens get Girard and 2nd rounder for Brett Kulak? Seemed like that should have been an even up deal.
See how it easy it is to get second rd picks? But Panarin couldn’t fetch one..lol

In regards to Giroux vs. Panarin… Ill use the Knights vs. Kraken analogy for this. Because it wasnt necessarily a common move, when Giroux got traded, I think the thought process initially was well we have to give proper value despite the clause, right? As was with the Knights, teams werent quite sure how to approach expansion and the Knights absolutely poached everyone and so when it was time for the Kraken, GMs were prepared and that didnt happen again. And so… when Panarin came around, GM didnt feel entitled to give any more than Greentree and a couple of mid-late picks. If Holland says “thats the offer, take it or leave it”, what are you gonna do? Threaten to not trade Panarin and let him walk for nothing? That would have made you a lot happier right? That Drury stood his ground..!? PS: Go watch highlights of Greentree from this season.

Does it matter that its a late 2026 1st round pick? These 2026 1st round picks are very valuable, plus we also got their 2026 2nd as well. With how badly teams are trying to acquire RHD, Id try to dangle Morrow and see if we could get another 2nd round pick for him.

But Ill be honest, we dont trade Trocheck, I wont be disappointed about it. I would rather keep him than trade him for the sake of trading him.

Schneider, with these RHD trades, could pull a 1st round pick. I doubt it. But I could see a 2nd, a 3rd and a prospect.

If McCarron can pull a 2nd round pick, theres absolutely no reason why Carrick shouldnt… and I said this before, everyone laughed, that ya’ll would be surprised what these bottom 6 glue guy centers can pull.

Im torn on Trocheck, I love his play, he is a playoff player that any team would want but they really need to trade him. With all the talk around him, can you imagine he doesnt get traded now? He knows he is a short timer here, he will most likely be moved in the off season, why bother keeping him around? To win another few games? We need to lose games at this point, not win.

Id rather keep anyone under 25 and rebuild from there. No need to trade any of them because you dont know how a 2nd round pick will turn out. Problem is we need to rebuild right, get rid of the over 30 vets and take it from there.

Regarding the Trocheck trade, we HAVE to hit a home run. We also don’t have to trade him if the return isn’t there. No need to make a trade just to make a trade. Let’s see what the moron does

Yea I wrote that in PuckGM just now.

“Unless Detroit is sending us Danielson or Boston is sending us Lohrei and Poitras (or maybe Carolina is sending Nikishin), I personally have fallen out of love for trading Trocheck also. His value wont drop.

With Thomas, Kadri, ROR and Schenn out there… its tough to say if he should slow play his hand. But making a deal for the sake of making a deal would be an egregious mistake.”

Im thinking the other GM’s know Drury now and will just low ball him. They know he needs to make moves so why would they overpay? Drury painted himself into a corner.

Sullivan was the wrong coach also. This team is terrible, unfortunately Drury has traded Trouba Kreider Panarin for peanuts. That will hurt in the long term on this “retool”. He’s a clown

Drury is the worst GM in any sport. Id love to play him in cards, guy just announces his hand. We traded away all of our top players, Borgen is whats left. Useless

Epic performance tonight.. Was I the only one watching that saw Lafreniere hit Merzlikins in the head on the disallowed goal?
Dave Maloney still is talking about the skate interfering. The fact that Albert and Dave went on for about 15 minutes about it not being goalie interference lol.
Drury should never be allowed to step foot in the Garden again. ( Taking a team that was a few bounces away from the SCF just 2 years ago and turning it into this mess..) I will say it again they won’t make playoffs for 5-8 years on the conservative side.

Yeah Laffy hit him in the head and Dave was going on about the skate. Im shaking my head like, what dont you see??

The playoff drought will be a while for sure, at least 3-5. Miller isnt a leader, now he blamed the fans for booing!!! Mika resurgence is useless but only for his trade value. Its going to take time unless we can trade Miller, Mika and Fox. Fox because why keep him around for a few years if we arent contending?

    That’s not goalie interference…….

Agreed on both things, the Buzz and the interference call

If Tj was here he would say they are on the way back.

This team is just miserable. LOL

Apparently I was logged out at some point, so anytime I came to check in no new blogs were posted so I didn’t bother to try and find which blog everyone was taking in. I logged in today and now all the new blogs popped up. This site is terrible/very difficult to keep up conversation. I’m glad they boo’d Drury last night, too bad the weasel wasn’t on the ice so they could’ve boo’d him more.

I have to agree, there are too many blogs forums or whatever you want to call them. The site needs to be able to have people only post on one active blog at a time. Like if Jan writes an article, only be able to post one that article. People dont need to have multiple placers to post. Its not that serious.

Im missing the old days of the Buzz!!!

Did anyone see the Fox interview? I got a little sense there maybe a strained relationship here with the team now. Maybe Im reading a little too much into it.

    No he seems unhappy.

Miller needs to sit for the season and heal/contemplate whether or not he wants to be a captain

    The org is a joke

Doing a so called “Retool” with Miller, Mika and maybe even Igor isnt going to get us to the Cup. By the time the new prospects start to bloom, at least 2-3 years from now these guys will be in their mid 30’s and at the bottom end of their careers. Gotta try to convince them to waive and ship them out. Do a proper rebuild.
