ParticipantYou are losing it. Plus/minus must be taken with a grain of salt, some of those were empty net goals and I agree that the key to the Flyers winning is staying out of the penalty box (I even mentioned the Wild needing to figure out even strength). The Flyers are still looking up at the Wild in the standings, even though it’s by the slimmest of margins, so what exactly are you crowing about? The Flyers having a league worst PP% yet again? Maybe the Flyers should put that on a tshirt if fans are proud of it.
Nothing about Jett? His playing time? The positions the coach puts him in? Should he be in the NHL? What else do the Flyers need to do besides stay out of the penalty box, the state of the Flyrers defense, etc?
First you say Minnesota needs to figure it out 5V5, now you say +/- needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Which is it? Why is Minnesota giving up ENGs? They’re trailing late in games. The state of the Flyers defense? Their 6 through 9 guys are a combined even after 4 games, all against top tier teams. The need for Jett in the lineup was eliminated by Abols’ surprisingly solid camp. The 4th line had their worst game against WPG without a doubt. Jett will get more looks before a decision is required.

ParticipantZeev has been an important and productive part of the Wild at 1 PP point/game so far this season. Jett, if he wasn’t DB’s signature pick would be in the OHL instead of sitting on the end of the bench. Min PP% 44%, PHI PP% 7.7%. So far this season Min has been record breakingly good, and PHI record breakingly bad. If MIN ever figures out even strength, look out.
Minnesota’s top four Dmen are a combined -22. Zeev leads the way at -7. They have 5 even strength goals in 5 games. Stay out of the box on them and you win for certain. Can you imagine the response in Philly if the Flyers gave up 7 goals to Columbus at their home opener? How about if they blew a 3 goal lead in the 3rd at home to LA? Fell behind 3-0 to Dallas barely a minute into the 2nd? Got crushed by Washington 5-1? But they have a great power play. Hahahahaha!

ParticipantI never once mentioned or brought up points. simply stated they have 2 losses. which is a fact. you keep arguing otherwise.
Yeah, why mention points? It’s only how the standings are determined. Take the L, so to speak, you fucking retarded asshole.
FlyerFrank
Participant1 OTL
Add the regulation win and you have 3 points. Simple math . . . for most folks.
FlyerFrank
Participantwhat part of what the O mean?
What? You can’t even produce a coherent sentence. Sad really. Fetal alcohol syndrome is an awful thing.
FlyerFrank
Participantwhat does OTL represent? the meaning of the initals.
What part of one point in the standings do you fail to understand?
FlyerFrank
Participantwhats an OTL?
One point in the standings. You’ve heard of points right? It’s how they calculate who makes the playoffs. Any more remedial hockey you need me to teach you about?
FlyerFrank
Participanttypical flyers fan. how many losses do they have?
One in regulation. An OTL gets them a point. This has been going on more than 40 years now. Try to keep up you fucking retard.
FlyerFrank
ParticipantIs having a 1-2 record and being outplayed and outshot in 2 of the 3 really being effective? brick by brick
The Flyers record 1-1-1. Apparently even being able to count to three is a skill you’ve failed to master.

ParticipantYou talk about me being on meds after you pos this garbage.
I didn’t write that, you did you fucking idiot. Hahahaha! Your posts are all garbage which I guess is impressive for someone with a double digit IQ.

ParticipantWow 3 games. Let’s plan the parade. They will be a bottom 10 unit come April. Goalies saving them right now, no? The defense stinks. They have got hemmed in 2 out of the 3 games. Outplayed 2 of the 3. outshot. Doesn’t matter who is out injured. They still are not a good unit overall. Hold the fort until what? Risto the legit top pair dman returns? Get the fuck out of here with his crap. 2 best teams, add some context next time.
Back to the Minnesota nonsense. Just say you do not like buium. 10 of the 15 goals the wild scored have been on the PP. seems like a team issue not an isolated 1 player defensive issue; which is what you mean. Take those top 4 on minny any day over the flyers slop you mention and then some.
Seeing how you are infatuated with buium. Buium with 5 pp points in 4 games. Flyers def do not need that type on production when you have Makhughes, I mean JD on D and the jett killing it on the 4th line. Still very very early to compare the jett and buium. See how it plays out by the end of the year. Won’t hold my breath as to who will be a more impactful player. Now and in the future.
There is no negdelphia. Just realist observations and facts. How you can continue to suck the cock of this organization is very noble. Are you an employee? Its ok to not try to defend them every time.
First off, go fuck yourself. Any responsible board would have kicked your mentally ill pussy ass to the curb a lot time ago. What’s with the constant homophobic slurs? Did your dad sodomize you when you were five? Were you disappointed when he stopped? Get back on your meds asshole.
I already said I started watching MIN more closely because of Buium but haven’t mentioned him specifically because MIN is so awful as a team defensively. This is not complicated, even for you.

ParticipantThe Flyers need to contain the Scheifele line. They have the tools to do it. I would expect to see one, or even two depending on situation, of Couturier, Cates and Dvorak out there against them at all times. Tocchet is seeming to game plan for individual opponents pretty effectively so far.

ParticipantAlways love how these writers throw the “rebuilding” word in every article. There was and never has been a rebuild. This guy in every paragraph talks about the “rebuild”. Must be on the payroll
Anyway. No, they don’t have the players to fix the defense. Even healthy it is a bottom 10 unit easily.
If they’re a bottom 10 unit, why have they gotten Top 10 results in 3 games against the two best teams in the conference? The defense is hardly in crisis. They are in hold the fort mode with two of their top 4 Dmen out injured. Perhaps you’re aware of this. The fort is holding. There are teams out there that literally can’t play defense. The Flyers aren’t one of them, banged up or not. Their 6-9 defensemen (Andrea, Ginning, Juulsen, Zamula) have put up a combined +1 in 3 games against top notch opponents. Minnesota’s top 4 defensemen have put up a combined -16 in 4 games. Can you imagine the reaction in Negadelphia if the Flyers gave up 7 to Columbus in their home opener, blew a 3 goal lead in the 3rd period at home to LA and fell behind 3-0 to Dallas by the first minute of the 2nd Period? Would Minnesota’s defense be in crisis? It’s going to be fun Saturday.

Participantlol. why not take a stance. my 8 as of today would be in no order.
tampa
florida
toronto
ottawa
montreal
canes
devils
capsthough at the end of the day 2 of those may miss. isle getting bad goaltending. will that change?
Those are the 8 teams that made it last year. That’s not much of a stance. Of the non-locks, I’d say NJ, then MTL then OTT have the best chances to get back in. OTT ran a crazy late season hot streak to make it last year. That will be tough to repeat so they can’t fall behind like they did in 24-25. Can the Flyers finish with more points than those 3 teams plus every other non-lock? They can.
