The 20oa pick isn’t worth a proven top pairing RHD. A GM would get roasted & run outta town doing SJ a favour like that. 20oa+ maybe. What would a 20oa career project as?

The range of picks at 24th seems to be ever changing. I still feel good we’ll have a choice out of a good bunch to pick from. After the 3oa pick is done then the draft strategy will really unfold after that. Barring any trades this draft will net a good crop. Any tades for this draft or later drafts will only further the sell off to fill the prospect pool. There is no doubt 2027 will be another tank season if mgmt is smart.

Getting 4th would be great. Maybe Stenberg as some think slides be the 1st key piece. At 4 I’m leaning D to replace the hole Hronek makes with any of Carels Verhoeff. Malhotra if a D is targeted later. If Stenberg is gone Reid Malhotra is my preference. Reid to replace Hronek Malhotra BPA F. If Carels af 4 then shop PM. 2027 draft being C heavy get a D early in this draft. On Debrusk I’d want 2-2nds

3rd & 4th pick great way to get the rebuild started for real. Helps ensure another tank season.

Pretty bang on assumptions either way it goes we get a good piece. Add more @24 33 & 41. Any trades getting picks probably layered for future drafts my guess. Also wouldn’t be surprised something big happens pre-draft whether the Canucks or SJ or the Hawks or Flames or St Louis maybe others.

If it’s Stenberg they covet & SJ keeps 2oa taking Reid Canucks sit in the cat bird seat.

End up with 11th 15th 24th 33rd 41st picks. Package up Debrusk &/or a 1st to who for what? Leftover picks get more assets albeit not an elite pick at 3oa. Plenty of flexibility in a pretty deep draft could net a many F’s & any D that slides.

Be gentle only spitballing the options & not pushing for moving the 3oa lol

For me McKenna Stenberg Reid are the clear 1/2/3 that could in any order. CM top 6-8 only if we trade down.
