win streak over at 10. have to start another onesenstrolltwo
ParticipantYes, you’re right, all those superstar 100 point free agents are just lining up to sign with the Leafs on July 9th.
And if that doesn’t work, they got a lot of elite prospects and 1st round picks ready to dominate the league or to trade for more help.
The Florida Panthers are absolutely fucked and shaking in their boots thinking about the revenge of the Leafs.
lol
rage on loser. maybe take a break from internet angry reply guysenstrolltwo

Participant10!
going for 11 in a row, team record is 11 (5 times)

ParticipantNo, he clearly wasn’t as he had more career playoff points than everybody on the team, including Tavares who is 7 years older.
I dont know who he meant with that. AM has to look in the Mirror as well, but its going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
i wouldnt say good riddance, more like it was time to try a different approach. in the NHL the playoffs are a very different game and you cant play soft dipsy doodling hockey like Mitch does. it works a bit but good teams squish you like bug in the important games
Must be why Marner was involved in winning 3 games against Florida. Funny because Kucherov, McDavid and Matthews each had 1 or less goal vs. Florida. But Marner’s the one who can’t play well in the playoffs though…
Marner also had 1 goal against Florida
Also 1 assist total games 4-7not that it matters since Mitch was not going to re-sign any way, but for 14 mil or whatever people think it would have taken, its not worth it.
For a PP guy, he went 29 playoff games in a row without scoring a PP goal.Bye Mitch

ParticipantAll this without Varsho and Santander (who has sucked).
Barger has been a good success so far, hope he continues to be a legitimate 3rd basement. But honestly, Vlad is great defensively….he’s just not where he needs to be offensively yet.
I cant wait to get Vasho back and healthy, he is so fun in CF, and his bat was coming around.
Santandar what a letdown so far. But luckily they haven’t really needed his bat, but when he comes back, lets see that 35hr power in this linueup.Vlad is still leading the team in fwar, just over Clement, like wtf, I was dead wrong on Ernie..I would have dumped him for nothing
BlueJays are an MLB-best 27-10 since Bo Bichette’s pinch-hit, game-winning HR in TEX on May 28.
TOR’s offence has scored 5.76 runs/game in that span, the highest of any team in baseball. All that without the 3 biggest additions doing anything, Santandar, Giminez and Scherzer are like .2 WAR total

Participantfake you need to differentiate your posts better from who you are quoting. thats hard to read whats yours
if the quote is not working. bold it or put a line between your post.
i cant be the only one thinking this lol

ParticipantVladimir Guerrero Jr. (via interpreter) on the #BlueJays’ clubhouse:
“Once I wake up, I just can’t wait to get to the field to be with my teammates. It’s been unbelievable. It’s what any manager wants, a team like that and a culture like that.”
You love to see it.

ParticipantIf in the next 4 years matthews hasnt led this team to a couple of cup finals..or even one cup finals and several 3rd round appearances…..Im ok to move on from him.
yes of course. You keep him a Leaf forever if he wants to stay.
Washington would have been morons to trade Ovy because he didnt win a cup in 12 seasons.there is a handfull of players (in the league) you never move, and AM is one of them..imo

ParticipantThey sign matching $15M contracts, and share the C:-)
i just meant how much he signs for, if he signs a deal for say 17m, does AM get more a year later.
but I like your thinking
senstrolltwo
ParticipantYou have to wonder if this is going to make it harder for the Leafs to re-sign Matthews once his current contract is up. This new CBA will literally cost Matthews millions out of pocket.
what will the cap be in 2028? around 120 mil?
If AM signed for the same cap % as his current deal, that would be 16.68m
so call it 17, would he sign for that?guess it depends what Mcdavid does
senstrolltwo
ParticipantIs that only for contracts moving forward? Matthews’ bonuses after the new cap kicks in are at 77% and 70% for the last two years of his contract.
yes contracts signed under the new cba
