ParticipantI agree the leafs are not taking it down to the studs at all and probably wont finish in the bottom 5. Matthews and Nylander are not going anywhere, and if they had to go, teams wouldnt offer much in return and the amount of teams that could take on their contracts are very limited – these are not in season trades and they simply are not happening.
The Leafs may get a 1st for McMann and OEL, but not getting a 1st for anyone else that would be trade bait (Domi, Laughton, marcelli)
This isnt a video game, its reality. Leafs arent doing a full rebuild and getting 10 1st rounders LOLLeafs have $20M+ next year. Throw a bunch of cash to pry Raddysh out of Tampa, and see who you can find to fill a top 6 winger role. Rebuild complete.

ParticipantMcKenna can throw knuckles, broke a guys jaw with two punches. Stock value just went up.
Definitely going first overall in the prison league. Which sexual deviant has the first overall pick, Diddy, or Epstein?
He’ll get community service.

Yes, let’s trade OEL and then spend the next two seasons wishing we had a player like him.
Literally, every player is one hit away from retirement. Leafs have $22M to play with next season and only a few holes to plug.
The Leafs are actually the 7th oldest team in the league. You know who’s older? The Avs. Should probably blow that team up too, eh?
WHIPPER
ParticipantIf you are blown away with a package for OEL, trade him. Otherwise they will be looking a similar D in the off season not sure they’ll find one as cheap.
The Leafs arent going scorched earth, they dont have their own 1st this year and next (thanks to horrible trades by Tre again). Heck, if they go .500 in the 6 games prior to the deadline I think they only trade Mcmann.
But we’ll see.
I agree, keep OEL. Very serviceable dman at a VERY manageable cap hit for the next two years. Is there a better dman at that cap hit in the entire league?!? The D is set up pretty good for the next few years, re-sign Stecher and maybe Tanev gets healthy.
Like you say, this won’t be a full rebuild. Tendies are nice, (could move Stollie IMO), D is fine, they just need to get a better winger for Matty and one other middle six piece and the team is right back in the mix.

ParticipantShould be doubt shifting McMann, Roy, Laughton, Jarnkrok, Carlo, OEL; get all of their value as sky high as possible. The big fish might go early which will leave desperate playoff pretenders left to scramble to get something for a higher price.
Everybody should be moved and all the draft picks and prospects coming back will help the rebuild.
Then trade Nylander and Matthews at the draft in 2027. There will be nobody left to play with so Rielly and Tavares will take a hike too.
Retards gonna retard.
But, every Jarnkrok shift is a doubt shift, because I doubt anything positive is going to happen.

ParticipantTake a seat and shut the fuck up you retard, nobody cares about your shitty opinions.
JT scores last night
Maccelli scores 2
Leafs PP at 100%
Stollie with a great game
Leafs beat the Oilers in Edmonton to win 3 in a row on a west coast swing. You probably cried yourself to sleep cuddling your Marner poster.
You are by far the king of the retards for just about everything you post here you little incel bitch boy.
I will not allow ANY Mitch “The Great” Marner slander on this forum. He’s has put up a staggering *checks notes* 8 points in his last 10 games on a DOMINANT (3-5-2 in last 10) Vegas team. He is on pace for a historic (…ly terrible) season by his standards, the likes of which we haven’t’ seen since the 17-18 season. $12M well spent.

ParticipantGavin McKenna facing multiple felony charges, could face 20 years?!? Is this real?!?!
Better fate than being drafted by Vancouver, though.

ParticipantProposed Trade:
Edmonton receives: Brandon Carlo, Bobby McMann (50% retained)
Toronto receives: Andrew Mangiapane, 2027 first-round pick, 2026 second-round pick, 2028 second-round pick
I was reading this today.
I’m on the fence trading Carlo.
I would do this trade:
Edmonton receives: Bobby McMann (50% retained)
Toronto receives: Andrew Mangiapane, 2026 second-round pick, 2027 second-round pickDoes Mangi give Willy a Rolex for his number?

ParticipantLeafs are something like 23-5 without Rielly over the last few seasons.
thats pretty good
Give Tre a lifetime extension if he can move that anchor contract.
Stollie just had a showcase night, move him now while the feeling is still fresh. We ride with Woll and Hildebeast, and still have Akhtyhacibhwicvhsowbov waiting in the wings.

ParticipantWhat a pass by Willy.
What a pass by Domi.

ParticipantLeafs to get the 1st power kill of this game.
🤮it was killed!
I figured that was a 1-0 deficit, 100%.
Nice backcheck, Willy!

ParticipantAnd you’re literally too retarded to realize history says, every player eventually waives the NMC. It’s happened before, it will happen again.
Leafs beating terrible teams is too little, too late to make the playoffs, they’ll have to win 20 games to make it now. At least Boston won’t get a great pick at this rate.
You keep calling me a retard, but yet you only addressed one (1) of my three (3) main points. I get it, reading comprehension is not your strong suit.
Just for fun, let’s assume Rielly waives, (he won’t). Now, you STILL have a terrible defenseman making way too much money for way too long. How do you move that contract?
The best part? If Tre does manage to move Rielly, two things are going to happen:
1) You’re going to bitch and moan about the sweeteners Tre had to include to get some dumb fuck to take that contract and term.
2) You’re going to have to admit that Tre did something good, which we all know isn’t going to happen. You’ll just find something else to bitch about.WHIPPER
ParticipantMcMann increases his price!!! 👍👍👍
Yeah, his 8 year extension is getting pricey.
