ParticipantThe PK ain’t no passive box. Looks like Blashill wants an aggressive kill..
I read Blashill coached the PK at Tampa Bay last season and does want to implement that system here. Lightning had 11 shorties last year being aggressive and forcing turnovers on the PK.

ParticipantDel Mastro wearing the A tonight. Got a feeling that bodes well for him making the team out of camp.
Kaiser, Bedard and Nazar are wearing the A, BM
Yeah, you’re right. I mistook Kasier for Del Mastro.

ParticipantThanks for posting boiler. Surprised with this lineup with being on the road.
Surprised at that myself Lou. Just hope nobody gets hurt. I think several on this roster, after Bedard, Nazar, Lev and Rinzel represent the next tier of prospects. Of course there is some AHL fodder in the lineup too rounding things out.

Participantmaybe he plays tomorrow
My guess is he plays in front of the home crowd next week. BTW, Tuesday’s game will be broadcast on that Chicago Sports Network at 6 pm Central.

ParticipantBTW, Kantserov with a goal in Magnitogorsk’s 5-4 win. He has 3G and 3A in their last five games after being held scoreless in the first two.
It would be nice if he signs here next year. Maybe he’ll play a while at Rockford to get used to the smaller sheet of ice and become a contributor later next season, or more likely the 27-28 season. By that time, assuming Frondell, Moore, Greene, Lardis, Vanacker, and Boisvert are on the team or close to making it, and along with Bedard and Nazar, the top nine should be pretty well established.
Looks like we are going to run into the same problem that we are going to have with our dmen, not enough roster spots for all of them?
Depth and more depth and more depth, love it, and that’s why i love the salary cap going up boiler. Everyone gets caught up in lines and centers and so on, all i want is my 19 players to be better than their 19 players and that’s what the Blackhawks are building
I think we both know that all of the above likely will not make it. But there’ll be some vets sprinkled in anyway. Hopefully Donato lives up to his contract the next few years. I can see Mikheyev being extended for a couple of years if he does well this season. I’m not even including the likely high 2026 pick.
Yeah, lots of depth, good competitive atmosphere, and likely some trade candidates to fill a hole or two in coming years.

ParticipantGreg Boysen, hockey writer formerly of Chicago Hockey Now, has a new podcast out The Second Balcony. Here’s a link. It focuses on the up and coming young D and the early days of camp.

ParticipantThat’s weird i don’t see what you’re talking about
No? Go here and see if you see of a list of spam forum topics touting airline tickets and schedules.

ParticipantIf you haven’t noticed there has been a spam attack on the main Chicago Blackhawks forum page. There are literally pages and pages full of bogus topics. I mentioned it to Frenchy in the comments section of his blog this morning. Hopefully, he can contact site administration and get things fixed.
As these spam forum topics are generated, our General Comments forum could get lost down the pages and make it difficult to find. When new comments are posted here it will go back to the top of page 1, but it eventually will fall down the list. Maybe when you visit here you can bookmark this comments page (currently we’re on page 19) to bring it up more quickly the next time, instead of “leafing” through the pages looking for this forum.

Participantdifferent wiz, metalhead. that wiz hasn’t registered here as of yet.
Last week I noticed a comment from @THErealwiz1901 in one of Frenchy’s blogs.
I noticed it was posted September 10 at 2:41 p.m. Coincidentally, earlier that day at 12:44 p.m. he was over at HockeyBuzz asking for help to register here. So maybe he figured it out, is registered here, and just doesn’t post often.
